What to do with gems

Ok, got a question which I hope is not too stupid.

I have collected many gems from mining stars and drops. Over 1k each of sapphire and emerals, hundreds of rubys and diamonds.

I don't know what to do with them. Should i craft bracelets and sell, craft bolt tips and sell, make bolts with gem tips and sell or just craft the gems and sell.

My levels are high enough to do all skills, I just don't know what way is most profitable. I'm interested in a speedy and profitable method, not slow and

boring like cballs are for smithing.

I appreciate your adivse in advance and as always mega thanks to Tip.it for this great resource.

doodlebug86, don't even worry about crafting them. Just sell them at the G.E. low-end prices, and crash them back down to where it would repair profits for everyone. Some bunch of nuts manipulated those prices some time back, and Jagex never fixed it. :(

Cut the uncuts and then sell them all. The exp you get from cutting is actually pretty good, if done in large quantities, which it seems you have. Other than that, they are pretty useless. If you want crafting exp, its best to cut, sell, then buy more efficient materials to craft with.

The last thing you should do is cutting them, by cutting them you'll actually loose exp and gp which you could otherwise spend on other things that give better exp, if you're out to get crafting exp that is.

I would just sell them all, that's the best thing you could do.

idk about that. Cutting gems is a pretty good training method. Diamonds and rubies are MORE efficient than dhide if you make 750k an hour. If you make less, the lower gems also become more efficient. If you make 1m an hour or more, dhide beats out rubies slightly.

If you have high enough Fletching Smithing and mage turn them into bolts id say(don't do it to the sapphires unless you like PvP).

Otherwise just sell.

You do loose money, if you sell the uncut gems and buy green d'hide you'll get much more crafting exp, you can even sell the green d'hide armor to make more money back.

I'd even wait to sell my diamonds because diamonds will soon rise beyond 10k once again and maybe even rubies might climb a little further.

But no doubt to sell the emeralds and the sapphires right now to make the best possible profit.
