so im making a character where the only combat skill that im going to train is defense. whats the best weapon i can use/what should i train on?

I think Reese's Sword (not sure tough) , for exp try gaining some penguin points, as for "killable" ( xD ) NPC's, anything with like, lvl 20 or so, i dont really know :unsure:

i've made many defence pures. you can get str pots and attk pots, but they arent needed. go to seagulls by karamja boat, they are the best npcs to train on for defence pures even though they dont have alot of hp because there are multiple ones. now for the weapons. for f2p, you can use iron dag or iron scimitar. dagger is known to be best f2p. if p2p, red topaz machete is the best bet.

for my defence pure i used iron dagger / amy power and i killed cows/chickens cows for money chickens for faster xp

I believe silverlight is a top contender, but iron scimitar might edge it out in overall DPS.

im pretty sure silverlight its the best f2p wep, it has stats of a steel sword, but i dont know if reese sword is better.

If he's making a defense pure, and wanted Reese's sword, he would have to complete the quest, which gives XP in all of the combat skills, right? Or is it possible to obtain the weapons and not complete the quest...? :unsure:

Silverlight is best but i would RECOMMEND to get 5/10atk so you'll actually hit something, and then use a black scimitar.

 

The only way you'll do good as a def pure in f2p without any atk/str whatsoever is if you get the the talisman staff since it requires no attack and it has 33 str bonus. So you'll have to get 50 rc
