A_Gardener
Hi guys, I am thinking of starting to slay again a bit, just to get my range level to 80 and my slayer level to 75 (or thereabouts). My stats are in the sig below, so can anyone think of any suggestions for equipment or any other levels I need to get first before I start slaying? Also, Slayer master do you suggest I use? I'm currently using Chaeldar. I have just over 20m cash. :) Thanks guys! :D Gardening for Victory! Quyneax
Focus sight/fsh of course. A cannon. Unholy book (maybe bss if you want to tank stuff). I assume you have a rune crossbow and black hide, those will do fine. Synthox
Thanks :) I have an Unholy Book, black d'hides and cannon. What bolts should I use, and which tasks should I cannon?I can only help with the bolts.Addy bolts are wonderful, cheap and hit very hard. However, broad bolts hit the same and are at least 2x cheaper. I can't use them, but you can. If I'm wrong and you can't, then addy bolts are just fine. TT rewards: 2 ranger boots, Zamorak page 1 (2x), Guthix page 1, Ancient page 2 You must construct additional oak larders doors... I mean pylons Barrows: 10. Total value~22.3 mil. Ahrim Robeskirt is currently the item I have received the most.
Quyneax
Broad bolts. Cannon everything you can, pretty much. Is it worth getting Ranger's Boots and/or Archer's Ring? And which familiar and what inventory setup? Thanks everyone :) Yeah, that looks good. Get an archer's ring, but not ranger boots. Because you're only level 70 summoning, stick with a bunyip for now. As for inventory, just bring a few ranging potions, a few prayer potions, and a little food. Consider using a blessed spirit shield on tasks you get hit hard on. Use the 10% ranged prayer. Always use the best slayer master you can. When you get to Kuradal, use knives/darts with a ferocious ring on greater demons. EDIT: Use an EE for specs if you have one. If you don't, consider getting one. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. Obtaurian
I have an EE :) Should I always use the 10% prayer? And should I tank or safe? Always, yeah. Tank as much as possible. A_Gardener
Is the Fury significantly more useful than an Amulet of Ranging? I sold all my combat stuff months ago and so am basically starting from scratch. Gardening for Victory!
aspeeder
No, an ammy of range will serve you well, but if you feel the need to spend some money then a fury is probably one of the best things you can buy. Also just be forewarned, at lower slayer levels cannoning isn't as sustainable as it is later on, especially if you get a bad (For cannoning) task streak. So if you are running low on cash, just stop cannoning for a few tasks and come back to is when you can. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 32 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 9 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots
zwilnick
May I be so bold as to offer up these lovely links? I find using a combo of these two quite useful. http://forum.tip.it/topic/206716-robinhoodies-guide-to-range-slaying-fire-giant-cannon-rates/ http://forum.tip.it/topic/203018-master-slayer-guide-by-axe-man-jack-aow/ Best of luck.
MstrMonopoly
I have an EE :) Should I always use the 10% prayer? And should I tank or safe? I would say that any task you get hit really hard on, you could slap on a Soul Wars cape or some other prayer enhancing gear and just pray melee. I piety the fool. Obtaurian
No, an ammy of range will serve you well, but if you feel the need to spend some money then a fury is probably one of the best things you can buy. Wrong. Fury >>>>>>>>> ranged ammy, especially since you'll be using the 10% ranged prayer. Amulets of fury are one of those must-have items. I would say that any task you get hit really hard on, you could slap on a Soul Wars cape or some other prayer enhancing gear and just pray melee. This. Broad bolts are very cheap, so it's okay to forgo the accumulator on tasks where you'd need a protection prayer. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
