Ring Customization Clarifications

EDIT:

Does the ring need to be worn for the effects to work?

Tank:

Does it reduce damage from skill task and puzzle fails? It simply says "damage" is reduced, but not from what

Blaster:

When the snare activates with the yellow spiral, does that also mean that the attack speed reduction has come into effect, or are they separate activations?

How long does the slow work for? How much does it slow? Does it stack?

I remember that the snare was also 1 second before, but in the recent update they made it "longer". Anyone know how long it is now?

Artisan:

Does the runecrafting boost work as a "hard" boost or an invisible boost? ie. If I had 72 rc, would I be guaranteed double astrals if I had the level 10 artisan ring or just come really close as it's an invisible boost?

Also, does the boost let you make runes you can't already make or do you have to pot up? I don't think it does since it says "bonus", but I think it's worth asking

Thanks in advance :)

1. Only Gatherer reduces damage from skill tasks (includes doors), not Tank. Also, you need a shield equipped for Tank to work.

2. Both effects work at once. The length is random, although I would assume longer if you have high magic. It does not stack per se, but theoretically, the second your enemy is "free," you have a chance to bind him again.

3. Artisan only works for an increased chance of multiple runes, it does not boost your levels. At 72 RC, you would simply have a high chance of making double Astrals, although it would not be guaranteed. You won't be able to make any Blood Runes at 72 without a potion.

Ah ok thanks a lot for the answers. That pretty much clears up the artisan and tank ring for me, but what about the attack slowdown effect? Is it permanent, last a number of combat cycles, or just for 1 attack?

Blaster and either gatherer or artisan are the only rings that seem to interest me right now, but it seems like I might lean to gatherer/blaster.

Blaster lasts for most likely a set amount of seconds, not combat cycles. Again, the assumption would be 5-15 seconds, based on your magic level (the higher it is, the longer you have).

Tank: monster damage. There's a separate ring for failing skills and puzzles.

Blaster: Can't say for sure, but they should both activate the same amount of time. I assumed since it said "snare" it was 10 seconds. Assumed.

Runecrafting: Well, read the description. It says it boosts your runecrafting when crafting multiple runes - logically, with a level 10 ring, you could craft double astrals at 72. (I don't know this, but it seems logical.)

As for blaster, even assuming it freezes them for 10 seconds, it would take (on average) 4 attacks with a level 7 ring to snare them. The chances seem too low - I'm planning on Dunge maging with the ring that speeds up your magical attacks.

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Just did a bit of testing with tier 1 blaster ring:

1. It does not hold them for 10 seconds; it's something around 2-3 seconds.

2. It works on rammernaut where regular hold spells don't work, so quite helpful actually. If I get it to tier 6-7, it would be great for soloing him.

When you get the blitzer ring, could you share how much faster it makes you cast? I don't quite understand the percent for that. Is it x% chance to cast the next spell faster? And by how much? 1 tick? 3?

I believe the tier 10 blitzer makes you cast 1 tick faster all the time. Don't trust me on that though.
