I just got a blue dragon mask from a clue scroll, and I'm looking for some advice for what to do with it.

I'm not a merchant, and I totally avoid anything that involves junk trading. I hate it, and I think it's a waste of time. But if that's my best option then I'll consider it.

 

Should I..

1. Sell it on GE

2. Try to sell it with junk at street price (anyone know what the street price is, by the way?)

3. Hold on to it for a little while

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I'm just going off the G.E. graph here...but hold onto it for a while longer. As with all new items, it is sky rocketing. It will eventually crash though. So everyday you hold onto it you take a risk that it will crash, but also that it will go even further up in price (went something like 750K+ today).

 

The staff of light came close to doubling in price from it's release price(10m, crashed at around 19m), so that's a good example of how to know when to sell new high priced items I personally believe.

 

In the end, it's up to you, but I would hold onto it for a while longer.

I am getting the silly notion it is currently worth a lot, but all the offers I have seen is with trading other items. Very confusing.

 

I also don't have junk unless you count my javelins and arrows (p). (about 1.5M worth).

 

Should I just hang on to it for a while?

Same here. I keep looking on the forums trying to find an actual cash value, but all people are doing is offering other treasure trail items, and I can't figure out their value either.

The whole street market thing is very confusing to an outsider who hasn't used junk before :huh:

I don't know about you but what I'm probably going to end up doing is watching the GE charts and just dumping it on there when it gets to a price that I like.

Or I may take a visit to world 2, but I have a feeling it will be even more confusing than the forums.

And I'm pretty sure a fury kit is worth well over 150m street, along with God bows, I'd trade the fury kit for a Zammy/Sara god bow. Sara god bow is like the sgs of range, except it gives hp equal to 2x the damage you do, not 1/2. Zammy does 2x damage, great for pvp. I'd personally take the Sara bow. :P

Yeah world 2 is useful, or you could try making a thread on the forums offering to sell/trade the mask and see what kind of offers you get. Don't say that you don't have junk in the thread

Either find a way to make money by doing a junk trade (you said you didn't want to do this), Or just sit on it and watch the graphs daily, honestly it could be a few months (if ever if we see a crash). I dont think people truely realise how RICH some of the people in this game are. I mean I'm talking where people have net worths of 200M and IMO are not rich. So the demand for these new items is going to continue to skyrocket untill there is an abundence of supply. And lets face it getting a random/rare dragon mask from a clue that is already somewhat rare drop from a HIGH level monster... Its going to take awhile.

 

You could honestly be sitting on it for the next half of a year before people are actually selling them frequently in the GE.

 

Best investment and what I plan to do when I get a really good TT rare is just sit on it, watch the GE and if it starts to drop one day then you can sell it if you want too.

But how could you ever sell it without junk?

You can sell it in the GE right now if you want...

guess I could slap it onto my fury and keep it also.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I don't really like long term investments (seeing something worth a lot of money just rotting in my bank annoys me, since I could be using that money for something else) so I don't know how long I'll hold on to it for, but I think I'm just going to watch GE graphs and sell it when the price gets high enough for me.

I will probably also stop by world 2 just out of curiosity.

@zotto, Absolutely hold onto it.

 

I have a black dragon mask, a dragon staff and a fury kit that I got in a trade for my frost - and all 3 are elite rewards.

 

Since i've only had 3 elite clue scrolls since they came out, and I slay A LOT, the supply on these elite rewards is obviously so limited that these will be rising in the ge for at least 3-6 months. I mean, it took me close to 3 days to find someone WILLING to sell their fury kit, and I was offering the highest end elite mask.

 

I mean, look at crowns. They were far easier to obtain than these new elite TT items are, and they sustained a high street for a good 3 months.

 

But, to the OT, SELL THE MASK WITH YOUR JUNK NOW!!! Since a Blue Dragon Mask is from a level 3 clue, and not an elite, they are a lot easier to farm. The lower end level 3 masks, such as the fox and unicorn ones are already crashing, and it is only a matter of time until the green/blue/red ones follow suit.

 

I'd suggest selling it now, if that helps.

Ah, alright. I have no junk, though. My only real option is selling on the GE then I guess.

I did an elite clue today, got a dragon square ornament kit (or). What about that? Hold on to it?

It also looks great. You might as well walk around with it, dsquare is pretty cheap.
