He was a pretty cool bro,

Bros generally are you know,

He hailed from the land of 'taters,

He was known to hate many-a-hater,

He likes a girl named Lacey,

His thoughts about her are kind of racy,

And also his dad likes to [rooster].

Junk has value according to GE but not according to players (it doesn't sell). As such you can add it to a trade to make your side worth more without adding any actual worth. Note that junk usually sells in general stores.

ive seen this "junk tading before and what not, people on world 2 trading new items for 30mil with junk trading, i never realy gotten the whole junk trading thing, can anyone explain this and sorta give an example?

There are certain items that never sell on the grand exchange, for example, it would take most likely years for 1 million needles to sell, but they are still "worth" 1m gp in trading value.

Example:

Bobby trades Joe a saradomin godsword, but instead of Joe paying 70m for the sword, he has to pay 90. Now, of course you can't do this because of the trade limit, so instead Bobby trades the godsword, and to make up for the 90m he also gives Joe 20m needles that are completely worthless because they never sell. This way Bobby ends up with 90m, and Joe ends up with his godsword and 20 m needles. So Joe has 90m in "worth" but because he can't sell the needles he really only has the 70m the godsword is worth.

Wow that was a lot of typing, hope this cleared things up.

I don't know if needles still work, but you get the picture.

Runescape is a game, if you aren't having fun then don't play, if you can't stop playing then quit.

Add this to your sig if you've seen every "new" skill released.

It's also worth noting that collecting junk just to sell doesn't work very well. You'd be better off making real cash rather then junk - the only "worthwhile" way of collecting junk I can think of is buying an item and getting the junk a long with it.

Also, unlike some merchers, I think the logical attitude towards junk is viewing it as a hot potato - you want to get rid of it. For instance, if you pay an extra 20m for a saradomin godsword (or armadyl godsword, I find that a bit more realistic) you'd probably be better off just lending it out for a couple weeks until you can sell the junk with lending. Or by lending something else.

That's my 2 cents. Pay up

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Junk is items that don't sell in the grand exchange, but do sell in-game trades, but in a reduced value situations. Stable junk is considered to be worth around 80% of it's nominal value, unstable junk is worth anywhere from 50 to 95% of it's trade value, 50% if it's a manipulated item 10+ times over it's before-manipulation value, 95% when it's crashing but selling at min. Thus, when someone is selling a black partyhat(for the sake of an example) for 2b with stable junk, ge price being 1b, they are actually selling it for around 1,2b ge price. The 20% reduction is there because of the difficulty of getting rid of those items. Now, because the hat would sell for 1,05b on the ge, it would theoretically crash when this profit gets near the junk profit, so around 1,3-1,4b street. Dealing with unstable and manipulated items is a bit more difficult.

As a general rule, there are no good methods of obtaining junk fasted then you would normally make money, so it is usually not used that way. The only exception to this rule is price manipulation of useless low value items, where by you just create GE value from nothing(just look at chaos talismans) and can sell high street value items with them, and for the method you need to be experienced and have a big load of money(400+m, 10b for chaos tallys). For normal people, the only thing you can do with high street value items is to trade for other high street items that are useful to you.
