1. Click through the dialogue to see what set of skills it uses.

 

Starved = level 91

Nourished = level 93

Sated = level 95

Gorged = level 97

Dragonkin lamp = done! Use it on a skill you hate, you can't bank it.

 

2. See if you have the necessary skill level to use the effigy yourself. If not, one option is to set that as a goal and train to that level.

 

3. If not, you'll need someone to assist you. Popular places to get that assistance are: effigy clan chats, crowded GE worlds, various forums, or w117 daemonheim. Certain skills are easier to get assistance in than others.

 

4. Once you were able to investigate that particular stage of the effigy, repeat steps 1-3.

oh yes. and they do not stack.

Yes, I have about 7 in my bank atm. Also it's notable that every effigy has one skill that can be assisted, and one that can't be.

Don't go out of your way to get an assist from it, wait for someone to pass by, ask 'em nicely, and then get the assist. The hours spent at Daemonheim are better spent. I've never tried chats, though.

Effigies cc is pretty useful for getting the easier assists (Cook, fletch, craft), and you can sometimes luck out and find someone with the harder skills (Farm, smith, rc, construction) but don't let it consume your whole day finding someone. Just have a quick look around the ge whenever you go, and sometimes you catch someone with the respective cape that hasn't reached their assist limit.

I got two effigies today and used a clan chat to get assists for all 4 stages for both of them. Took me about 15 minutes. I used my lamp on Summoning with is 88 so I got 33700 exp each. So I think it REALLY depends on the skill you plan on leveling and the skill. That 15 minutes I spent getting my two lamps got me 67400 summoning experience which would have been like an hour at rock lobsters.

 

What you would probably want to do is when you want to do fletching/magic/etc/etc sit at the bank and do whatever while you scout out people to assist you after you've collected a few.
