Mahogany logs

Hi

I have been thinking of leveling my Construction skill during the upcomming Bonus XP Weekend and i need some advise on how to get mahogany logs easy.

My initial plan was to:

1. teleport to the Ape Atoll and cut the logs

2. teleport to Mobilising Armies and bank

I could use an amulet of Glory instead and teleport to Edgeville to bank, but i only have two and is not interested in purchasing more.

I could also cut logs at Tai Bwo Wannai village, but this would mean getting hold of a ton of Trading Sticks first + that it is hard to bank unless i spend even more Trading Stick when banking at Rionasta - not the most appealing to me.

Question:

Is there a better way to get them than the options i have listed above ?

The trading sticks method is faster, either banking with Tai Bwo scrolls or Rionasta.

Okay, then i might consider this option after all, however, there is the issue about getting the needed Trading Sticks and i'm not sure what the fastest way is - all i know is that the Tai Bwo Wannai Clean Up mini-game is not very fast, so I think killing monsters might be better, I just don't know what monster is the best to kill.

Selling topaz to Gabooty's shop is fastest, I think. I've had some success buying on the GE in the past, although the 10k trade limit poses a problem if you're using Rionasta's parcel service to bank.

Hi

I'll look into this myself.

However, I wasn't aware that there are a 10K trade limit - maybe i don't need that many right now anyway !

Thank you for the advise.

Does Gabooty's shop accept noted Topaz ?

Tai Bwo scrolls are teleport scrolls obtained from treasure trails or the GE. No clue on noted topaz.

you will never 100 to get into the mahogany/teak grove then 10 trading sticks/per log so you will need 270 for a full load (using the parcel service from Rionasta). 370 / trip carrying 27 log's a load (not counting special logs when i did this i would get 1-3 spec logs a load). Depending on how many logs you need i think u can work out how many trading stick you'll have to have.

Cut topaz, jades, and opals are definitely way to go. Look up how much you'll get for them (Here), their price on the GE, and then figure out whichever one gives you the best gp/stick ratio.

Also consider buying some tribal clothes as you'll get more sticks that way. However, it's only worth it if you plan to cut A LOT of mahoganies.

Thank you for providing the numbers. Based on this I can see that I need quite a few Trading Stick as the "burnrate" is quite significant when using the parcel service to bank.

However, don't let this "burnrate" discourage you. The gems are pretty easy to buy and it works out to be 1k gp in sticks an invent
