When i go there on a task, i just wear full d hide and a bunyip with some scrolls, but i usually walk away close to death. What would be the best way to survive for 5k-10k cannonballs? Should i just wear melee armor, a mix between range and melee, or what?

I just wear my melee gear: FSH, Guthan's top, Verac's Skirt, Barrows Gloves, D Boots, Glory, Whip, Rune Defender, Cook Cape. Then bring a bunyip and some food for emergencies, along with my Enhanced Excalibur. I don't have any problems there.

Guthans is very good. I have lower stats than you and I could probably stay down there indefinitely with Guthans (I only usually do a Slayer task and leave).

I dont have guthans, nor the funds to buy it (though that may change when i dump herbs). And FSH wont help much as im not on a task.

Dragon skirt, DH body, verac body, nezzy, glory, d boots, granite shield, rune def, unholy book, and whip. I have 3.5m atm, plus whatever i can sell my herbs and ppots for on wednesday.

 

Also, i dont have EE (glares at low cooking and fishing levels)

Bring decent melee/range protection armour, bunyip for the healing and an enchanted Excalibur to help with the healing.

 

Also a few sharks/monkfish may be wanted in case of emergencies.

Bunyip, super defense/enhanced excaliber, and decent armor dragon/barrows combination will be more than enough. Guthans not needed. If you are really worried about it you could take some bones to peaches tabs I guess. Have fun.

I can last a task (200 kills) with just rune legs nezy and torso, no shield. You'll be right.

I just go there in normal melee armor, with a bunyip and EE.

 

EE is pretty nice, since spec weapons are not very useful against lighthouse daggs. I barely use mine, though.
