crimson charms

Featured Replies

are there any other good monsters to kill to get crimsons at my lvl that aren't rock lobs?

Thanks in advance!

Definitely rock lobsters, they aren't that hard to kill at all, and they are expensive, but affordable, and you get them fast (you have more time to make more money), and you get lotso magic exp, which always is necessary

My lame drops:
6 Effigys
1 D Med - 1 D Dagger
1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody

Greater demons and black demons are decent crimson droppers that you could kill.

Dag King Drops: D axe(3), Zerker Ring(3)

Barrows Drops: 2 Guthan Spears. 33 drops total.

i don't have the time to learn how to learn rock lobs atm, is there anything else i can do to get crimsons until i have some time to learn?

greater demons

The once was a mexican called pepsi,

Or maybe it's just he had Hep C,

He was a pretty cool bro,

Bros generally are you know,

He hailed from the land of 'taters,

He was known to hate many-a-hater,

He likes a girl named Lacey,

His thoughts about her are kind of racy,

And also his dad likes to [rooster].

I'd suggest Greater Demons for a less experienced player, but the best apart from Rock Lobsters are Waterfiends.

waterfiends are my current slayer task, so i guess i can try those for now

Excellent, they have about 75% crimson charm drop rate - as well as some other decent drops.

Good luck.

:)

does anyone have a good setup for waterfiends?

You might want to try waterfiends? Assuming you've enabled the faerie ring in Ancient Caverns, you'll even have a quick way to escape if things go wrong.

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.
^^^At least I'm not the only crazy one

i do have the fairy ring active if things would go wrong for some reason

Karils is your best bet - if not that, then Black Dragonhide works fine.

Use a crush weapon -

Saradomin sword is great, as is Zamorakian Spear; I prefer the later - it's cheaper :P

Basically you want a good balance of magic/range defence.

Take the best food you can. They're pretty strong - so a familiar helps and even so you're bound to do a few bank trips throughout the task.

Unless you decide to prayer, which can be costly - in which case, maximse your prayer bonus, and take a lot of prayer pots.

Good luck!

thanks, i don't have karils, so i'll be using black d'hide, and since pray pots are unbuyable right now i won't be using prayer, i'll just have to find someone lending or selling a zammy spear and then i'll be on my way

Erm - I could probably lend you mine?

If you can come to w77 Grand Exchange?

:)

i just bought one so i won't be needing it, thanks for the offer though

Waterfiends are okay for you. Bring a terrorbird (or I guess a bull ant) with food; it'll extend your trip and help you manage drops. Make sure you have a good weapon, and you should be alright.

In the long-term, you'd benefit most slaying for charms. It's one of the most efficient methods and it's a lot cheaper than bursting.

By cheaper he means you should profit :)

its worth noting that the albino rat is a moderately decent albeit obnoxious, low level healing familiar, and decent for a low level to use at WFs

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

Definitely:

Karil's>Blessed (Well, god stuff) dhide>Black dhide

ZS will certainly be great

Glory amulet

Games Necklace (To tele there, can bank in BO deposit box)

Food in a familiar if you don't have the healing stuff (Uni>Titan>Bunyip>Void Spinner=Albinos rat if you do)

Don't forget t turn your zs on the crush option. It won't do anything good if you don't.
