Need Barrows advice

Should i mage or melee barrows because as it is i usually mage dharok/verac/torag melee mage/ranger i can get at least 5 chests with 1 invo of p pots and food. stats are 99/99/99 86 mage 89 prayer.

Mage is always faster unless you piety/turmoil the melée brothers.

Yeah, even Karil (the ranger) is surprisingly weak to magic...I like the black salamander the most.

should i mage in proselyte armor or my barrows armor

I usually mage in guthan's tbh so that's up to you.

dont really matter on the melee bros they got lame mage def i just do the pro armor for prayer bonus +28 with neitz helm zam book

Well if your mage att bonus isn't too bad then I'd say just to use that I guess.

yeah i only have -18 mage attack with my setup been long time since ive done barrows now did they change it so more monsters killed better chest loot?

Wanna know my friends very succesful method? (hes 99 mage, so it might not work aswell, but 94 is fine, and i guess 82 for blitz is fine aswell)

 

Grab a staff of light, arcane stream necklace (very useful if you have it!), Battle robes (Crucial to cut rune costs), and runes for Ice blizt or Ice barrage and some blood blitz.

 

Kill karil first, use blood blitz and pray if need, so bring a few p pots, then kill Ahrim with Ranged gear, Lastly kill the melee brothers with ice spells, and hide if you cant K0 them in 3-4 hits, then continue, heal with blood spells if needed. Be careful with dharok though, you don't need pray if you dont lag and pay attention.

 

Then in the tunnels, go straight to the chest, don't care about KC, it drags up rune costs, and drags down effiency. My friend did some trips, and he averaged 60 chests per inv, and each chest was about 30-40k, and the profit was 12 mil/3 hrs..
