Knoll_Saleh
I am thinking about getting 70 prayer this weekend off dragon bones and alter, now is this a good idea? I'm doing it so i have a higher prayer level, and so i can complete some achievement diary entries. Am I doing something I won't regret when spend like 8m on it? My current prayer lvl is 61. crashNburn
70 is most certainly worth it, piety is invaluable for a wide variety of things, and is almost always worth using. However, the best way to get prayer exp is with a gilded altar, which will not benefit from the exp multiplier of the bonus weekend. So there's no real reason to train it at that specific time (if that's what you were referring to by 'this weekend'). Get same xp but no running? Actually it wouldnt be the same xp because with the multiplier at 2.7x to 2x it would only be between 140 and 189 xp per bone compared to the 252 for g alter even tho there is no running involved it would still be more bones than a g alter meaning that it would cost you more than to wait until after the weekiend to do it on a g alter. Sir_Squab
Er, no. The gilded altar offers 350% the normal exp. The highest multiplier on the weekend is only 270%. Plus, you'd have to bury each bone - with the altar, there's a "bury x" option. (Well, not actually "bury" since you don't "bury" the bones there, but you get the point.) Squab unleashes Megiddo! I was unaware of the "Bury-X" and i thought it was only 270% so never mind about burying them in bank. but is it still worth it? or should i do other stuff on double xp weekend? and after that the prices will probably drop? Sir_Squab
As I said in my last post, it isn't worth it. You'd get slower exp because the multiplier is lower, and it's more clicking because you don't have a bury x option. Although, now might be a good time to BUY bones....I haven't checked prices, but seeing as no one needs them for the weekend, they may have dropped. Do other stuff on the weekend. Hegelstad
Dragon bones wont drop, herbs will drop. Don't train prayer during 2x, just don't. Train herblore, agility, slayer, farming etc. time consuming or costly skills. Quyneax
But, 70 prayer IS worth it, it's a staple of all killing stuff that goes on with melee weapons.
