Zaaps1
Alching is extremely inefficient. Almost every single other viable method is better, one way or another. The plus to alching is that it's straightforward and you can do it almost anywhere. Your better options: -Rock Lobsters, expensive at first glance, but actually incredibly cheap-Surging profitable monsters, such as DKS, Metals, Abby Demons, etc.-Plank-Make, roughly 2.5-3x the speed of alching and a similar, if not lower cost. It can even be profitable, if you're lucky-Superglass Make and Superheat Item, crafting/smithing xp alone compensate for the slightly slower xp/hr, not to mention that the former profits (albeit very click-intensive)-Onyx Enchant at MTA, faster than alching, tends to be cheaper, but more work-String Jewelry, almost no work required, something like double the speed of alching, and the most "afk"-able method of training magic (outside of stupid stuff, like wind striking level 2 spiders). Rather expensive though. It's only 1-2gp/xp less expensive than Rock Lobsters, which comes with extremely high hp and summoning xp along with it Summary: Alching is largely an obsolete method of training magic. There are simply so many better options nowadays, from both ends of the spectrum of cost/speed. ~It's Super Effective! Themooingcow666
What should I alch for magic XP? Meaning least money lost, how easy it is to obtain, etc. If you don't suggest alching for Magic XP then feel free to suggest another way.I know this will be tedious, but buy 1,000 logs, and 1,000 flax, make yew longbows with it (1,000 again XP lol), and then you can either RC 1,000 nature runes, or buy them, and when you make the yew longbows, you make profit actually hi-alching them :D

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). None of those give magic xp. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
