TheAncient
Training construction over XP weekend has given me the opportunity to research the best construction training options. Here are a list of some observations: If you are using pre-cut planks, keeping your planks in your bank saves you 1 inventory space and also lets you utilize the right-click bank option. Servant-cut 8-Teaks (Ranging Pedestals) 7.2 gp/xp 720 xp per-- Is faster and only 1gp/xp more expensive than the traditional 8-Oak Larders (480 xp) or 10-Oak Dungeon Doors (600 xp), which are around 6 gp/xp Pre-cut 8-Teaks (Ranging Pedestals) is only slightly more expensive than servant-cut (9.5 gp/xp vs 7) but faster Pre-cut Teaks are categorically better than any Oak method. They're faster, and at the time of this writing, they're cheaper. You shouldn't servant-cut Mahogany Tables because the main point of mahog tables is speed. On servant-cut planks:-- Servants actually slow you down if you use them to cut planks because:-- A) They are slower than you-- B) They screw up your inventory However, you will save a lot of money if you servant-cut planks. You should never run your own planks. Always use your servant in some way. On SC hammers:-- You should use them in almost all cases; the slight reduction in overall xp rate is worth the money saved. D Jay99
I tried those ranging pedestals and my house had to reload every time I removed it plus it's hard to click on them, I just stuck with 6 plank teak wardrobes. Those will at worst be 10% slower than oak doors, probably about the same speed since they use less planks.

Toad
Training Con over this weekend I dont understand... SC tools are effective enough on Construction, when I did mine it was Mahogany tables with sc tools 76-99 I did within one day. I'd haved opted for something like Herblore ;)
D Jay99
Well teak wardrobes are 540xp each and oak doors are 600 so it's not that bad. And yeah every time I removed my range pedestal I got the same screen as you get when you enter your house, lasts 2 secs or something. Not much but enough to annoy me :P

Synthox
I did teak wardrobes from 67-75 over the weekend with a demon butler. He would get 24 planks, i would make 4 wardrobes. He would bring 24 more, hold 4, and i would make 3+1. And so on, 2+2, then 2+1+1. At that point i had 16 flatpacks, so i dropped them and repeated. It worked great, I think i'll to it to 80 when i have the cash. And toad, people did cons over the weekend so they wouldn't have to use more sc hammers. They do take a while to get... TT rewards: 2 ranger boots, Zamorak page 1 (2x), Guthix page 1, Ancient page 2 You must construct additional oak larders doors... I mean pylons Barrows: 10. Total value~22.3 mil. Ahrim Robeskirt is currently the item I have received the most.

PS don't forget zombie impling jars -> long bonesbladewing calculated xp rate for cashing in + opening of jar time to be about 700k xp/hourat about 106 xp per jar(damn bladewing opens jars fast now that I think about it)bladewing's deleted his post about it, but that's what his data said. Rhonda
However, you will save a lot of money if you servant-cut planks.Stupid question, but how do you save money using a servant? It's log-plank cost plus servant salary right? I've never used a servant so I don't know. SC tools I can't be bothered to get anymore. I got very tired of getting pk'ed. There are SC Clans that focus on non-combat sc, where both teams just gather the clay that way you earn more tools per hour and once the clay is exhausted the game ends after 1 minute of the clay exhaustion ;)

I'm not saying they aren't worth it, I just don't like dying.
