I just got my first special assignment but I've never killed KQ before. Can I solo successfully with my stats? What's the best setup and approach for me? My computer lags a lot so the safer the better.

Thanks but I already read that. I was just hoping for some extra tips outside of that guide. What is the best slayer setup w/o a godsword? How easy could she kill me?

I would do a ffa with a few friends. She is very, very tough. Harder to solo then bandos or zammy godwars, at least in my opinion.

 

As for melee, verac is good becuase it will hit through her prayer. You need two attack styles to kill her, be prepared to take a lot of damage.

 

Edit: I didn't know you could hit past her prayer with a helm and gs, that sounds like a better setup.

my fist spec task was also the kq.

 

i had slightly worse stats then you, and i was hybriding insted of veracs (couldent afod it at the time)

 

 

i got killed b4 i even saw her :oops:

 

 

do not under estimate her!

but i still think you can defeat her. my advice though, honestly, dont bother, just skip it. its up to you though.

 

some hints, take a slayer helm (if you have one), the 15% boost in melee (and range n mage if its a full slayer helm) will be a massive help, unles your useing veracs, then you cant swap for a difrent head.

you can take another player with you, as long as you deal 51+% of the damage, even if the other player does not attack but simply acts as a meat shield, this can help a lot.

but if you dont have a slayer helm(full) or full veracs, dont, just dont.

I remember soloing her with 85 melee stats and I didn't really have any problems. I was using verac's (not sure how this compares to slayer helm outfits) and using a tort. Just fill your inventory and tort full of sharks or cavefish, an anti, and supers or extremes. Make sure when you're fighting her that you're up against a wall so none of the Kalphite workers or guardians can attack you. Good luck

I did it with your levels in veracs, i didn't bring a familiar though, I ran out of rocktails my first go around and teled out, came back and she was still at half health, downed her then. Don't underestimate, she hits like a truck, even on 85 def

I did it with a wartortoise filled with sharks no problem :thumbsup:

(I even had like ten sharks to spare!)

 

I used:

-Full slayer helm

-Dharok plate & legs

-Obby cape

-Dragon boots

-Barrow gloves

-Falador shield 3

-Whip/dds

-Rune xbow

-Diamond (e) bolts
