Runecrafts
I've heard so many people say that Tormented Demons are the best money maker around..The problem is, I still need 70 QP's (and some skill reqs. for certain quests), I need to get 83-95 or so def, another 2k crim charms for 79 sum, and I need to get 78-85 or so ranged..So would it be worth getting those things in order to do Tormented Demons? Now if I do all this I want it to be my main source of cash flow, and I'm hoping to get rich quick off of these. So,If I should continue working towards TD's I'll need to know how effective they would be with these stats, and a good setup of gear and a good inventory(Note- I have a chaotic rapier, I just figured I'd mention incase it would be the best choice of melee weapons). I've looked around all kinds of forums and I cannot find a guide that fits my stats.. so if anyone knows a good setup post it please!! Note- These aren't my current stats; however these will be the stats I have when I start doing TDs99 Attack99 Strength95 Defence99 Hitpoints85 Ranged71 Prayer79 Summoning83 MagicNo overloads/turmoil/ss Thanks in advance!!! Hi if you're reading this you are amazing and I love you.Maybe they'll release a bugless update for April Fools. Kimberly
A tortoise will stand you in good stead, but you won't last as long compared to those with a unicorn. I personally used a void range and melee set and didn't find it too hard to endure. Chaotic rapier is definitely better than using a whip, but bring something along to spec with (or alternatively, an EE, but I prefer spec.) I'd really recommend using curses anyway, since they drain slower than normal prayers, and in the long run will save you money. Do you have extremes? I know you mentioned you don't have overloads, but failed to specify this.

Quyneax
I can confirm you don't need anything special to kill tormented demons. When starting out, I recommend fury, rune crossbow, defender, black hide top/legs, neit, barrows gloves, snake boots, sw cape, some ring (I use explorer's 4), about 500 broad bolts. Have rapier and darklight in your inventory, one super atk/str/range pot, a sapphire lantern (you'll want to have a spare in your bank, you can get to your grave in under four minutes if you do), some ppots (not sure how many, 3+) and a load of food (monkfish, shark, cavefish). Especially the first trip, I think food is more convenient than brews. With a tort full of food, you should be risking like 200k. Later on, void is the way to go. Runecrafts
Not to be rude but nobody's answered my first question so I'm assuming it would be worth the trouble to do TDs? :ohnoes: Whats your dung level? All_Is_Great
From what I understand, the only thing you make money off of are claws and the armour pieces, which are pretty rare drops. If you go through a dry streak, you won't make money at all. So, it might not be worth it if you can't stick at it for long enough for it to balance out. But maybe you'll get very lucky! who knows :shades:
Smapla
you get a good amount of cut diamond, rune weapon/armour, and charm drops as well. i'm not sure if they pay for potions though because i've stopped selling them after each trip the question of whether or not killing tormented demons is 'worth it' is a hard one to answer. is it worth it to kill one? almost certainly not, because the time it takes to gear up and run down there is likely to result in an 'average' drop which won't pay for the time spent. what you have to realize is that over a long period of time, you will tend to accumulate an average amount of each drop, and from what others have reported, on average, dedicated tormented demon hunters make a good amount of money by regularly killing tormented demons. so, if you keep at it long enough, you are likely to profit. here are some key points: tormented demons are easy to 'welfare'. the minimum gear required to kill tormented demons is really very close to the 'best' gear you could use to kill them. karils offers no real advantage over black dragonhide, neitzoit helm is better offensively than verac's, whip is perhaps equal to or better than godsword, etc. secondly, when you do get lucky, you've got a thirty-something mil drop. that's pretty nice. oh, and i've got a rapier too and it works well there. though, i don't have a longsword or maul so cant' compare them. still, people who claim 'rapier is trash at tormented demons' must, i think, be greatly exaggerating, because i can do 45 kill / hr not including banking, which seems to be close to the current reported upper limit of tormented demon kill rates
