salamader barrows

With my levels what would be the best inventory to use? the AOW guides both have different ones. One has 5ish p pots and monks while the other has 1 p pot, range gear and monks.

Thanks

Glacors Drops - 33 shards.

Armadyl Drops - 1 Chestplate. 1 Hilt. 2 gloves . 2 Skirts.

I suppose it depends on how well you can no-pray Ahrim. Try that and see how it goes; if you need prayer, bring more ppots.

With your levels, I'd personally melee Karil and Ahrim and use the black salamander (on its magic mode) versus the melee-brothers. I highly suggest praying against Dharok, Karil and sometimes Verac and Ahrim.

The amount of prayer potions you bring entirely depends upon you and how long you want to stay there. Guthan's armour could be used for camping.

At your levels, I'd probably use semi-good food (e.g. monks). You could also consider bring Verac's gear. However, I strongly suggest experimenting with cheap gears before getting serious about it. I personally find Barrows fun and you might get lucky, so why not do it?

Yours sincerely

When I barrows my inventory is this

House Tabs, Dds, Whip, Shovel

Rune Def, P Pot, P Pot, P Pot

Rest Monkfish.

Pray Dh, Karil, and Ahrim. Piety + Prot prayer vs Karil and Ahrim.

I sally ALL the melee brothers, and use 2 specials on both Karil and Ahrim, then swap to whip. If I have either Karil tunnel I use all 4 on Ahrim.

And the order I kill them is Dharok, Karil, Ahrim, Verac, Torag, Guthan.

Bank between every chest.

Picture is slightly outdated in two ways: I now use Infinity boots rather than Dragon boots, and since I'm at the point where I'm comfortable with Barrows, I have gone back to using Ring of wealth rather than the Ring of life.

Attack Order and Notes:

  1. Dharok:
    • Black salamander set to Mage
    • Protect from Melee Prayer

[*]Karil:

  • x4 DDS specs, Unholy book; finish off with Abyssal whip
  • Protect from Ranged Prayer

[*]Ahrim:

  • Black salamander set to Ranged
    • If I have Karil as my tunnel brother, I will use the x4 DDS set-up on Ahrim instead.

    [*]Protect from Magic Prayer

[*]Guthan:

  • Black salamander set to Mage
  • No Protection prayer

[*]Torag:

  • Black salamander set to Mage
  • No Protection prayer

[*]Verac:

  • Black salamander set to Mage
  • No Protection prayer

Once I get into the tunnels, I will use Guthan's to heal back up before fighting my last brother. (I only bother getting 3-8 kill count.)

This may not be the best set-up, but I've found that it works well enough for me... I can manage 4-5 chests/runs before having to bank.

I always felt that Ahrim was weak to melee more than he was range but idk.

Maybe because your melees are 20 higher than your ranged level.

Notes on Serpent's setup above: the ring of wealth doesn't work; you're better off with any fremminik ring. The rune defender is better than the unholy book. Also, you could consider using Ahrim's top + sw cape, which has less melee defence but more magic offence and prayer (since you're praying quite a bit).

Why, exactly, would you use a ROW at barrows? Use a DKS ring, or even cabage ring.
