For those Dungeoneering with bad internet...

Every time you disconnect in a dungeon (regardless of size and party members), your created gatestone is automatically destroyed. It doesn't matter if it's in your inventory, dropped at a far corner, or even dropped upon death - one dc and POOF! Your gatestone is gone.

 

For all you keyers, watch out for this glitch. If you happen to lag in a 5:5 large and need to teleport to a door in a corner...

 

Also, this is slightly less serious, but it can be annoying too. In solos, when you dc with your group gatestone on, it's dropped where you left. However, when you try to teleport to it using the group gatestone portal, nothing happens. This can be especially annoying on a medium solo and you have lots of keys on. This is resolved by picking it up and dropping it again, however.

 

Just a fair warning. If you want to dunge efficiently, make sure you have a good internet connection!

Strange, I used to be able to teleport back to my group gatestone fine when I dc'ed. Is this a recent development?

It's the personal gatestones that disappear. It's really annoying, even if you're not keying (but laying gatestones around the map to help). Hopefully jagex will fix it......it's probably just something they overlooked when they made it so maps can be saved for people

That's rather annoying, not sure why they would program it to do that. I'll post on the forums, maybe they'll fix it.

Same. I personally did just that last night while dungeoneering.

At least you don't drop everything anymore :roll: and yeah I didn't know about the group gatestone problem.. weird.

Sorry about the group gatestone thing - I meant that in solos, when you dc, you drop the ggs on the ground (if you have it on you).

 

Now, say you have some keys on you, and you need to home tele. Pick up keys, go into ggs portal to return to where you left off.

 

Trouble is, it doesn't work like that. You have to pick up the ggs and drop it AGAIN for the ggs portal to work.

 

Remember, it's not the teleport spell, it's the portal.
