Introduction

 

Hello ladies, gentlemen, chimpanzee's being trained how to type for scientific research, and trolls!

Welcome to my Blog, which none of you will ever want to read again due to the fact that I am not an exciting person nor am I good at writing to capture people's attention, but for what its worth I am glad that you're here and for some reason are still reading this terrible introduction.

 

About Me

 

Well my name is Jacob, and I live in the good ol' USA (sarcasm is heavily implied there about this country being good). I started out my runescape career back in the fall of 2003. I never played longer than 6 month spurts though before taking a break so realistically its probably been maybe 2.5 years of playing consistently. IRL I am a Pastoral Intern at Substance Church, and also attend college 16 credits a semester. I love rock climbing, and am pretty good at it so I spend at least 4 hours a week doing that. Now on to what this blog is about!

The Point

 

I am first and foremost writing this blog about getting 85 dungeoneering. My other goals (which I will be achieving first) are unlocking overloads by cleaning herbs and making them into unf potions with a scroll of cleansing. The profit I make from selling the unf pots will go to 95 prayer for turmoil and soul split. After that I will transition the entire blog to focus on finishing every single ELITE Achievement Diary. As you can see from my sig, I do not near have all the stat reqs for doing that so the process will take some time. In the end though, it will be worth the skilling I think.

 

Current bank worth ~45 mil/200 mil (for prayer)

The plan is to level to 50 by christmas break and get our hoods. From there my friend and I who are both currently training our melee stats to 90 so we will have the same combat levels, are going to no life this skill untill we hit level 85, ideally in a weeks time.

Random Stuff

 

[hide=September 20th 2010, proving super attacks are not worth using at Armoured Zombies]I'm currently training attack at armoured zombies till 90 so I can bind a prom 2h in dg when I start and just clocked the following exp rates.

 

Gear Used

 

Helm : Neitz

Ammy : Salve (e)

Cape : Ardy 2

Chest : BCP

Legs : Torags

Boots : Dragon

Weapon : Whip

Ring : Wealth (i know its a terrible ring for training, leave me be)

Shield : Rune Defender

Gloves : Barrows

 

Test 1

 

Used Piety for prayer, bunyip for healing, and ee in emergencies. Only collected charms and high level herbs for drops

 

Exp per bunyip (44 min) 48.4 k exp ==> 66 k exp / hr

 

Test 2

 

Used Piety and the 2x healing rate for prayer, bunyip for healing, no ee cuz i never ran into emergencies in test one. Collected bloods, deaths, high level herbs, all planks, pure essence, and all charms.

 

Super Str pots were used for this test.

 

Exp per bunyip (44 min) 54.3 k exp ==> 74 k exp / hr

 

Did not realize that super str pots added that much exp / hr so I will definitely be adding them to my regular training.

 

Next test to come will be super str and super att. I'm assuming that super attacks won't make a huge difference as you are already so accurate with everything (piety and salve (e) with rune defender), but we'll see. Also I plan on testing combat potions, and zamorak brews with restore pots to not lose the def.

 

Interesting stuff for me so far.

 

Test 3

 

Ran with everything the same as test two except for super attacks were used and I only picked up charms and herbs worth more than 6 k each. Results?

 

Exp per bunyip (44 min) 56700 exp on the dot ==> 77 K exp / hr

 

Seeing as 3 k exp in an hour could easily be explained by the extra time I took in the previous test to pick up every drop I conclude that because you're already so accurate due to piety and salve (e) ammy that super attacks are not worth using. As such I am going to be resorting to using a dragon battle axe spec with restore pots for the remainder of my attack and defense training.[/hide]

Just finished getting 90 Attack! Working on Str at the LRC. seems to be on par exp with az's, but ill time it to figure out for sure. =p

Got 86 strength tonight as well, gonna be training that at living rock caverns with some testing to see how it compares to AZ's. Also added some new sections that I will be turning into goal meters and made the guide look pretty =)

So I am an exercise science major at the University I am currently attending and for one of my classes I am ashamed to admit I did not do the reading for today's quiz... So I woke up early today to try to get the reading done and failed due to having laundry to take care of, and food I needed to eat. I even ended up being late to my first class! I tried to do the reading in my first class to get it done to no avail...

 

Times were looking dark and bleak, I slumped to my next class fearing the quiz that I knew I had no chance of passing. I sat down in my chair, slumped forward, and just as I was about to slip into oblivion I heard the faint voice of my professor say

 

"If anyone knows all of the lyrics to the first verse of Ice Ice Baby I will give everyone in the class 100% on todays quiz"

 

WHAT JOY I EXPERIENCED IN THAT MOMENT!

 

I happen to have very few talents, luckily one of them is remembering things that I have no business remembering. This handy talent just happened to remember all of the lyrics to said verse of said song and so, I went from an all time low, expecting to fail the quiz, to the top of the world as I gave everyone in the class 100% and a day of freedom!

So I've been lapsing in my play time because my brother got Borderlands and we've been playing Co-Op non stop. It's pretty amazing. I should be done with the game in a few weeks but I will for sure be on this friday to dg it up with my partner (no not the life partner sense of the word) to 50 for our second bind and then we are going to grind c1's for our hoods.

Thanks! I obviously haven't been able to play for a while, hence why I haven't been bumping this thread. Come thanksgiving weekend though, the madness begins!

knocked off 145 k exp to 87 strength. time to go to sleep, 4:45 comes bright and early! ...or technically dark and early cuz I live in minnesota and its dark till like 9 in the morning this time of year...

Well here is the deal for now gents (and ladies, i guess I shouldnt discriminate). I just realized I have the charms for 69 summoning, so I am going to go get that. That unlocks my fruit bat which allows me to go camp grenwalls for $$$ (i've heard its over a mil an hour with decent hunter levels and seeing as I'm 99...). My routine will be something like this.........

 

1. Log in and either

A. C1 rush all the floors until my 10 highest are unlocked.

B. Do my first 5 highest floors on C6 small

C. Do my last 5 highest floors on C6 medium

2. Do mah dailies

3. Camp grenwalls for $$$

 

The goal? To take my 25 mil bank to over 200 mil by Christmas. Why? I want turmoil and soul split for my AZ camping after I get my rapier. Plus, 95 prayer is a req for one of my achievement diary goals AFTER I get my rapier and 85 dg so I might as well work on making the cash for it now before the mad rush of daemonheim occurs.
