I got a spotlight on a blogsite because I reported someone. LOL!

mmk well I reported him for many reasons...

  • 1. The first time he asked me, it was written in what I call "professional scammer" paragraph form: (many of you that've run across a PM scammer should know what I'm talking about)

and then wouldn't respond to me after I said no.

2. He messaged me again several days later with the same thing as if he wasn't aware he'd already asked me

3. If he looooved my guide so much it's funny that he didn't leave a comment

4. I've never heard of this person

5. He offered to pay me before I had a chance to even respond - who does that? A lot of people write free guides.

6. My guide is written more as a database than a blog.. based off of my guide he should have assumed my writing style wouldn't suite his needs

7. The account he messaged me on doesn't show up on the highscores for a single skill

I'm sure there were more reasons that slip my mind right now ...

I blotted out his name for his privacy (though he didn't extend that courtesy to me  )

I think he meant it to bother me but honestly I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it and I've shared it with many people so far.. now I've shared it with you too :-D

If people want to post what they think they are welcome to, thus your poll was unnecessary so I have removed it. Remember polls are to be used if they add something to the thread.

Big thanks to Stevepole for the signature!^

You falsely reported him for password scamming when he said nothing of that nature. Now if he asked you to enter your password on another site THAT would be against the rules.

@ sprites - if you read my reasons you'll know why I reported him for scamming... I have 7 reasons that made me feel extremely uneasy with what he said to me and honestly to me it sounds exactly like a scam.

Try not to false report too much, you can actually get in trouble for it.

Ignore list would have been better for this situation

I understand what your thinking was. Just try and think further next time. For example, did they ask for your password? Did they try and get you to enter your password on a specific site? Just my two cents anyways.

I actually didn't report him the first time. I only reported him the second time because he offered to pay for my membership. It's obvious from his report that I'm suspicious of him being a scammer and he should have stopped to explain by saying something like "I will give you runescape card pins" ... which you aren't supposed to really do anyways.. instead, he kept giving me vague details. It didn't help that after I had reported him he told me to go to some random website for details.

Some scammers will offer to pay for membership to turn around and try to recover password.. that's what I thought he was doing.

I'm apparently not the only person to report him for saying what he did, not my fault he didn't change how he approached people. Maybe next time he'll say things clearly.
