I've put 20K in it just to do fremenik diary but the money decreases and I get no items. How much money do I need to put in?

Firstly you want to get your approval rating to maximum and keep it near there.

 

10% of the coffers is spent each day up to a maximum of 50K (Throne of Miscellania) or 75K (Royal Trouble) on the items you put the workers on, effectively buying you those items at typically far below market prices.

 

So if you want the most stuff you'd want to put in at least 500k or 750k, preferably more if you don't want to check on it every day.

That being said, any reason you haven't been actively doing MTK?

No reason not to do mtk. Never easiest money in all of runescape. You need 750k (500k if you haven't dkne royal trouble) in it at the end of the day to get the maximum return. Holding coffers above 90-95% is suggested as well.

Always have more than 750k

Since I'm normally in a state of constant financial crisis, I usually keep MTK at around 500-600K. I check twice a week, bringing up my rating to 100% and the coffers to 500K again, and withdraw the resources every other time I check, so it turns out weekly. It's actually very little effort for a lot of money, so long as you get into some kind of habit. Everyone should use MTK.

I check twice a week, bringing up my rating to 100% and the coffers to 500K again, and withdraw the resources every other time I check, so it turns out weekly. It's actually very little effort for a lot of money, so long as you get into some kind of habit. Everyone should use MTK.

 

If you only keep 500/600k in the coffers and let it run for 3/4 days, even if you haven't done Royal trouble, you're getting a LOT fewer resources then you would be if you had, say, 1m in the coffers.
