Hi, I'm Skiier5. I'm gonna be doing some cool stuff, so I figured I might as well start up a blog to store all the pics and such.

As you can see from my stats, I'm maxed combat, and don't really care for skilling so much. This blog will mainly be combat/boss monster oriented.

Having just reached my previous goal, 99 Dungeoneering, I'm not really sure what I'm gonna do next. I'll probably end up killing a lot of boss monsters, maybe trying to set some rs records, and getting an awesome drop tab =] I'll also dung for fun when I feel like it, maybe getting 110 along the way.

So basically, I want to get all of the chaotics. I might just get farseer though and then start saving tokens for the new rewards.

 

-Sigils-

I've tried corping. A lot. I don't really find it amazingly fun, it's definitely not my favorite thing to do in this game. I've had one Arcane LS'ed to me on like a 6 man team, of which I am unable to find a picture, but other than that, no luck at corp. I've decided that I'm not gonna try for another sigil anytime soon, and I'll be content with my chaotic shields =]

Full Arma 1 Trip

 

This was pretty insanely lucky, about a year ago I was doing some solo Arma. I had gotten helms before, but no armor or hilts. Then this trip came along, and I got chestplate on the 3rd kill, helm on the 6th, skirt on the 9th. 9 kill trip total.

On the subject of Arma, a couple weeks ago I decided to go test out my new chaotic crossbow there, and was surprised to find this :)

Yeah. Pretty soon after I got 85 slay, I decided to go camp abbys for a while. Got pretty lucky with a 6 whip trip.

 

DIY BOB

 

This requires a little explanation. Inspired by how awesome Itam69 is, I decided to try DIY'ing on my own account a year or so ago. Unfortunately, I only lasted for about a month before I was back buying and selling stuff, but it was an interesting experiment nonetheless. I sold everything in my bank, and then bought a red h'ween mask, so my bank was entirely empty. I then proceeded to go kick zammy warriors for a rune scim, camped at abbys with that for a while until whip, and that eventually escalated to the point where everything you see in that BoB pic was all attained by myself. All supplies were made, all fish caught, cooked, etc. I eventually got fed up with the whole skilling aspect of DIY'ing, and gave up, but I still hold a large amount of respect for all DIY players.

So, like 3 days ago I got 99 Dungeoneering.

 

 

Since then, I've been kind of bored honestly. I'm trying to get back into monsterhunting, but I've been ending up back at daemonheim more than actually monsterhunting. Here's something I did manage to do though, which I thought was kinda cool.

So, I decided to kill some miths today. Some friends bet that I couldn't beat the "record" for most kill/trip, which they decided was 97. I know that's probably not even close to the real record, but I felt like showing them up, so I decided to give it a try.

Total killed in trip: 107

I miscalculated my brew/rest ratio, and as you can see, also had 5 extra overloads and antifires lol. So with that setup, I could probably get like 140+ fairly easily. Also, I was turmoiling/mele praying the whole time, and I suck at flashing prays. So it could probably be done much more efficiently pray flashing.

 

Doing this has sort of gotten me interested in breaking records, such as most kills/trip and that sort of thing. I know that since I don't have a divine, I probably won't be able to break the solo records for things like bandos and arma. But maybe I can make some records for some of the lesser bosses =]

Nice stats and gl on your goals, you are the second lowest total 138 that I've seen, the lowest being me.

It would be sort of amazing to kicksolo a hilt or armor piece lol.

So I havent been playing much, got college and stuff. But when I do play, I'm gonna be working on researching the comparison between chaotic longsword and rapier for maximum efficiency on different monsters.

Today I started out by killing 50 mithril dragons, 25 with CLS and 25 with rapier. I timed them in groups of 5 kills each, then averaged to get a kill/time ratio.

 

CLS: 25 kills, 1419 seconds. Kill ratio: 56.76 sec/kill

Rapier: 25 kills, 1200 seconds. Kill ratio: 48 sec/kill

Considerable difference, could use more support though.

 

CLS - Miths

5 - 281 seconds

5 - 261 seconds

5 - 282 seconds

5 - 314 seconds

5 - 281 seconds

Rapier - Miths

5 - 259 seconds

5 - 228 seconds

5 - 199 seconds

5 - 245 seconds

5 - 269 seconds

 

These are done while overloaded and turmoiling, so there isn't any degradation of my stats. There is some margin of error due to picking up chewed bones, etc, but I tried to be as accurate with the timing as possible. I'll try to do more mith kills later, maybe get 100 kills with each wep, and maybe work on the comparison with different monsters as well. Different monsters have different levels of defense, so CLS may be better against certain monsters than rapier. I know that there's an entire discussion thread about this comparison, but it doesn't really have very much factual evidence supporting it.

^ I'll be doing more of this sort of thing, along with monsterhunting and dungeoneering. And just messing around and stuff. I don't play nearly as much as I used to, but you can expect some more cr/cls data eventually.

Right now, I think I'll put my focus towards 100 dung, like 900k xp off. Did this today, thought it was pretty cool.

Worked amazingly well tbh, not quite as good as crossbow but sling is really fast, and as you can see, only 4 brews were eaten the first kill and arma was downed before overload ran out. I managed 3 more kills after that, only stopping because I only brought one overload, with 15ish brews left over. With an inv rework, it would probably be possible to solo 10+ armas with a sling, a wep specifically designed for level 3's lol. The only major downside to using it is the fact that you give up your shield slot, so you'll take more damage. But it's super fast, dart speed i think, and can hit 200, and requires no ammo, so kinda cool.

I started slaying again, been like a year lol. I'm basically just doing it to build up my drop tab.

Today I got a whip and Focus sight on tasks, didn't really feel like taking pics though. I got a dag task, Imma go solo like 200 rexes =] Or maybe rexes till i get all the rex drops, then hybrid.

This was funny, 70 dks dry then boom zerker. I go to pick up, prime gets on me, boom d axe lol, back to back. Didn't have time to get a pic of just zerker. Still on that trip

So, I finished my dag task, got another axe somewhere in there, then had a steel task, d skirt, then another dag task! I'm liking slay right now. Started a solo tribrid trip, never tried it before but going well so far. And i got another hatchet too. I'm not gonna pic all of my drops, cause that's just kinda annoying, but I'll take a weekly PVM tab pic.

Ran like hell back to bandos, actually got 40 kc and was running through the door when my grave disappeared =/

Lostttt cls, chaotic kite, k top, zerker ring, etc. Kind of a bummer. I think I'm gonna sell my bank and flip while dungeoneering for a while, new floors should keep me entertained.
