So I've been saving my geepess with the intention of training herb, and now have around 50mil in pure cash (Plus MTK and spare herb seeds, so I have all the necessities). I figure it's about time I use it to do something with it, but I'm still unsure of how to go about train. I'm not totally in the dark, I have browsed Grimy's spreadsheets (I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking at, but I can figure out what gives a lower gp/exp ratio) and other various topics here in H&A (Like this one and this one), but I just want a little more guidance.

So, here are my main dilemmas:

I have a DFS, I like it mostly for the cosmetics and to bs in CW with my clan, and ofc for my dragon/wyvern tasks. However, getting 85+ herby would allow me to do my dragons tasks more efficiently without it, and wyverns have been annoying lately so I'm probably going to block them with the spot freed up from steel drags. Would a BSS (Or anything else) replace my DFS in most other cases where I'm looking for def in my shield spot (Including fun pvp stuff, going for a firecape again, etc.)? Also I don't do bosses at all if that's of any importance to your answer (I should, but I digress...). And if so, should I sell it for higher herb?

I'm not sure how exactly I should go about getting higher herb largely because I really don't want to stew, I've just become accustomed to a more casual playing style where I can check other tabs when I want, which conflicts with the needs of stewing. That means that the "set for life plan" given in this thread isn't very useful to me. That said I'm willing to use regular greenman's ale, I have a barrel of it in my POH so they aren't hard to get or maintain a boost. So what I'm looking for is a plan that doesn't include a lot of boosting, I understand it's more expensive but I have ~80mil to play around with. One plan I'm considering is from the start till 82/83 making super energies to use for spec rests until 84/85 (I have claws, so they'd be useful), then sup antifires till 87/88, then ext. att till 88/89 for ext str. Another plan was just super rests (Possibly brews at 80/81) till 82/83, buy all the stuff for spec rests, then same as before. Which sounds better? Are there any changes that you'd make? Do you have another idea completely?

Anything that I missed? Sorry for the word-heavy question, but getting everything down just helps me think through things better. Any help is appreciated, thanks! :^_^:

I'd sell the shield for sure. Super Antifires and Extremes are totally worth it. And if you get high enough you can do seers elite and get the EEE. As for how to do it, what I did was picked a max amount of gp/xp I was willing to spend and made that potion. And then I made 1k super antifires because 1k feathers was more then a pain and I should never need that many ever, so I'll be set forever. After that I made spec restore pots till 87 when you can boost to make super attacks.

So right now for a rough I idea I'd go with something like this:

16,204 Super Attack Potions - Costing 34,594,557

1,000 Super Anti Fires - Costing 5,021,100

2,519 - Spec Restores - Costing 12,579,886

That gives you 87 Herblore, and costs 52,195,543 gpees.

After that its up to you, but I'd say make 2000 Extreme attacks to start, and then maybe a few 100 extreme strengths until your willing to drop another 50+mil to get it to 92.

definitely sell it. any combination of super antifires and spec restores til you get to extreme attacks is the way to train it.

Bascially as many antifires as you want, then spec restores til you can make ext attacks/strs.

dfs is a piece of crap

the only place it is best is skeletal wyverns

^ that.

Even if you don't get herblore, still sell the shield and buy claws or something at least.

I already have claws, but I'll put my DFS up on the ge right away.

Looks like I'll just super attack till spec rests, then super antifires, then extremes.

EDIT: As long as I have this going, about how many spec rests should I bring on a typical tanking task like abyssal demons or fire giants?

If your using claws as many as you want, and just use one dose every 30 seconds.

The DFS is a complete waste of money. Buy a bronze square shield. It's just as useful less.

Extremes are well worth the money.

DFS certainly is a great shield, but extremes are in another ballpark. Sell it, then use the money made to re-buy it.

And I'm doing pretty much the same thing atm.

WarBlastoise.png

I don't care what people say dfs is a great shield BUT compared to super antifire and extremes its a bronze sq shield.
