He didn't use anything but the /me function when saying it it. People got pissed only because he said their names which caused some of their clients to flash.

Well, if he got banned then he should really fill in the form, rather than attacking the Admin in threads.

He didn't he only got threatened, the exact events (note that I may be off with one or two words):

<User1>: If you do that again I'll make it so that you can never again access this channel.

<User2>: OR EVER WALK AGAIN.

...

<User3>: Or ever breathe again.

Yeah, a lot of clients do that. I remember back when I used to go on another chat, one of the ways you could really annoy people was to say their name more than once, because it made their computer beep and flash.

But Hex cannot be held responsible for something non-standard clients do, you could probably rig one to blow up your house when your name is said, but it is still not the fault of the guy who sais it.

Then why didn't he fill in a complaint form and get it straightened out...

Don't ask me, if I were him, I would have.

Mather, stop trying to defend him. He can hold his own in an argument, if only by virtue of his pure stubborness.

I, for one, believe that you guys trying to ban Hex from the IRC is barbaric.

We're not the ones who wanted him out, that was some random guys on #runescape..
