Linkblade
I've just recently started playing runescape again. When I quit playing, the dragon pickaxe had been a long time rumor. I have high level mining and smithing, and having one would really help me out. How should I raise money to purchase one? What is a good way to make money in general? ghjkl
Frost dragons, dks, solo bandos, tds are the main ways to make money.

The Observer
It depends on your stats. Maybe list them so people can get a better idea to see what you'd be good at. Got to agree here. Also, if you can, tell us what you're interested in. For example: If you like killing monsters you can do what was mentioned above.
Aiel
Frost dragons, dks, solo bandos, tds are the main ways to make money.this. If you have lower combat stats however, the most effective use of your time is going to be herb runs+MTK+dailes while continuing to mine with a rune pick until you can afford dragon. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Linkblade
Oh I suppose my stats would help a little >< Mind you I really like crafting/smithing/etc more than I like combat, but please explain what you guys mean, I don't now these methods. Thanks!
Knight_Zaros
I would be more worried about raising stats than getting an item such as the dragon pickaxe. Especially herblore as it is such a money maker if you do at least a run or two... or more everyday. You cannot really do any of the top money makers with those stats. If you are still stuck on doing nothing but making money you can look into killing level 2 men (honestly) for herb drops, green dragons, etc. But quite honestly any of the great money makers are pretty much combat orriented unless you are a higher level runecrafter, etc. Please Visit my Blog!- Experienced Monster Hunter - Forced Retirement Staker - Privite Chat is always ON -1 Draconic Visage 26 Dragon Drops 1 GWD Drops 17 DK Drops 13 Coinshared Items

schmuall
My advice to you (which is the same as the advice I give to everyone coming back from a break) is Quest. Quest, quest, quest, quest, quest. Do every quest you can, then train for the next ones. Your total levels will fly up, you'll unlock a lot of valuable content and your knowledge about the game will increase. Once you've quested enough, train slayer. give F2P a penny and they want a dime; give P2P a quarter, they want 100,000 dollars, your car, house, boat, social security number, credit card numbers, drivers license, clothes on your back and everything you ever owned or interacted with ever
Linkblade
Well I'm sitting at about 200 quest points, It's been a while since i played, and just got back from a long hiatus. I can do dailies from Miscelliania (sp), I have to finish up the following quests in that chain. Right now I just bought Full Rune/Dragon Scimmy/Amy of Glory. So i'm not the best equipped.
