Lose No Hope
I dont know anything about boosting, how do I do that?To boost up a temporary level in herblore, make a greenman's ale. It gives a +1 boost and if you make a few of them than you will have enough time to make multiple ovls. Sir_Squab
Actually, you'd need to make greenmans ale (m) for a level 2 boost. The normal ale you can buy places, but I got around to looking up overloads, and your two levels away, not one. You'd need to brew your own beer yes, but you'll want to play Trouble Brewing to buy "The Stuff" (actually what it's called) and use it in brewing to have a 25% (I think) of getting mature ale. Either that or you could try out evil stews. I assume you've done Recipe for Disaster. You go back to the hell-rat place, hunt rats and collect brown spice. Once you collect enough, get a bunch of stews, go to a bank, put the spices in the stews...and start eating. If you put the maximum dose of brown spice in a stew, you can raise or lower your herblore up to 6. You only need 2 :) Once you get a level 2 boost, just make the overload. Make sure you have all the overload ingridents ready, and try to make quite a few. P.S. I probably made boosting your levels harder then it sounds. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Quyneax
The Stuff gives you 100% chance to brew a mature ale, I think. Anyway, buy a mature greenman's ale off the GE (will take a while), then make an overload. This little potion has one great advantage: your stats will be boosted every 15 seconds (by up to 26 levels iirc). If you learn to time it, you can sip a brew right before the restore and suffer none of the negative effects of the brew. Sy_Accursed
Nomad is much easier to range than he is to melee; especially since using the pillars method you can safespot 3/4 of his special moves. And brews > food as they give you defence and higher than max hp. In the nomad fight this is VITAL Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
brad1431
well I tried range, and I still died, I had him within one good hit from dying but I died first.... That is 8 times dying....
brad1431
just died again, this is insane, I have better stats than 80% of the people I see in these vids that beat him.... I must be doing something wrong. I am gonna have to try that kyatt thing, but I dont know how to use scrolls
brad1431
what scroll do I use with kyatt and how do I use the scroll?
Kidd_Varrow
The scroll for the kyatt is ambush. The easiest way to use them is to set your left-click option on the summoning icon to special move, then just click the button to use them. brad1431
I guess I am going to hvae to try either brews or overloads, or both. If I do overloads, do I need restores???
Sir_Squab
I THINK the kyatt is used mainly for the melee stage, pretty much click the scroll button every time you aren't eating. Use it as much as you can. As for overloads, if you use them, you only need normal prayer pots instead of restores. According to some people here, you have to time brews correctly, as brews still lower your stats, but apparently overloads just reset like every 15 seconds. (WAAAAAAY outta the herblore level for using them, so I don't know anything about them first hand.) And follow Kidd_Varrow's advice about how to use the scroll. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Georgelemmons
Do a couple attempts with monks until you get the tactics right. If you're dodging his mines, the 750 attack, and waiting for the clones to disappear, you shouldn't really be having trouble. If you aren't already use ruby (e) for the majority of the fight, and switch to diamond (e) at 1/4 health or the first time you spec less than 750 with the rubies. I assume you're bringing a bob with more brews. In this case, bring a kyatt pouch and an enchanted helm of neitznot (you can find out how to make these on Tip.It) filled with ambush scrolls. When you empty your bob, dismiss it and summon the kyatt. Set your summon icon left-click to special attack, and spamclick it when the nomad goes beserk after 1/4 health. The spec instantly hits the nomad and allows you to eat while your familiar does damage. If you use overloads, your stats will reset to maxed every 15 seconds or so, and you can bring just brews (though you may need more than 1 dose of overload). Kidd_Varrow
do I need to use a scroll every time he attacks? When you have the kyatt out just click that button like crazy when you don't need to heal.
brad1431
how many brews vs restores do I need, and do I need restores or super restores, I dont even care about the money I just want to beat this guy and move on
Georgelemmons
how many brews vs restores do I need, and do I need restores or super restores, I dont even care about the money I just want to beat this guy and move on3 brews to 1 super restore. You can use normal restores, but super restores reset all stats to their normal level and restore pray, while normal restores just restore a certain percentage of the level.
