GlowinRedM
I've read thru the debate in General but views just seem to switch around and theres a lot of flaming so I have no clue what to think :D Basically, I plan to get ONLY ONE chaotic. I intend to use it mainly for bosses with my clan (we do everything) and maybe some of the tougher slayer tasks. The corp beast, is, well, just a corp beast. He doesnt even have any friends.[spoiler=Other Quotes]tbh idk why this makes me laugh so hardAll DFS threads turn into efficiency flame wars >.>>OP asks "why use DFS?">everyone says "there is no reason">someone says "stop bashing people who use DFS, efficiency troll ass clown">thread is now a flame fest
Low C
Some will say i'm insane but if you're only getting one weapon get the average one which is CLS. You'll do well at Bandos for sure. I however suggest you get Rapier + Maul instead since they both excel at far more places on their own if you're maxed.
Th e Doctor
Dont get CLS, period. Rapier will be better for almost (wyverns being one exception) everything, and tie for the few things it isn't better at. Also if there is even a chance that you will do anything besides boss hunting rapier will be better. Why settle for second place everywhere when you could be first the vast majority of places and an extremely close third on the very few places where you arent number one? Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
gremmy
One chaotic only? Rapier, no question. Low C
I always recommend rapier but he mentioned boss hunting. He needs to give specifics of else no one will be able to give him an educated answer other than rapier is great everywhere other than those countless bosses with insane defence which maul or cls would better do the trick. Correct me if i'm wrong but chaotics shine at.. Maul : Saradomin, Td's, PVPRapier (if maxed) : Slayer, Bandos (if not being crashed), Dk's, FrostiesCcbow : Armadyl, Td's, Dk's (prime)Cls : Bandos (shines), some PVP As you can see they all have places where they are good. If you factor in a Divine shield or Elysian it can change some weapon performance. Hopefully people with other chaotics answer because I only have Rapier, Maul, and Chaotic Kite so I can't really give personal experience dealing with the other weapons. But i can say that rapier is awesome at most places and maul hits insanely high. I haven't tested maul at many places though other than castle wars since I just recently got it. Quyneax
Rapier works very well on everything but Kree'arra and corp. I completely agree, but he only wants one weapon. Rapier can basically be used everywhere, while maul and cls have more limited good uses - say slayer or frosties. Rapier is decent at all the places cls and maul (except waterfiends) shines, while cls and maul barely can keep up with Rapier where Rapier shines. (Didn't mention Ccbow, as you should probably only get that as your first and only chaotic if you're a dedicated Kree-killer.) Didn't realize that, I agree no other chaotic is useful as a first than rapier. Just too many places it shines at those levels.
