Monsters to mage (p2p)

I'll be getting a months mem soon and i want to have the most fun with it, probably do slayer and some monster killing, maybe skill some hard f2p skills. 83 magic btw

Try maging Dagannoth Rex. On your first trip there I'd suggest bringing a ROL and an experienced friend along to show you the safespots. However, it's easy to learn, and after you become more comfortable you should try soloing him. Rex drops some nice things like berserker rings, warrior rings, and dragon hatchets. You might also find his bones handy for some easy prayer xp. At your mage level, the best spell to use would be slayer dart with a SOL, which provides a balance between cost and effectiveness.

 

Mage is rather weak when it comes to using it against boss monsters. The only other instance I can think of is using it for Barrows, or perhaps maging iron dragons with chaos gauntlets.

Better to use Fire Wave at iron dragons. And he has to do the family crest to get those gauntlets too.

 

My suggestion is that you get member for a long time, its really cheap. Drop a beer at the pub one night and you have member for a month. Do some chores if your young and earn 1 month of member in under one hour. You are really wasting your time when you play on free to play.

I dont play as often or want to get member's often because i have other games to play like snes games, zelda and super mario world hacks, tf2, learn c++ ect...

If i got members often, i would feel obliged to play rs to much.

Life's too short to spend all your game time on rs :wink:

 

Iron drag's sound good, i was thinking about those anyway.

Iron Dragons are the only i can think of. I guess you dont get to complete Desert Treasure in one month, else you could have bursten rock lobsters, which is very fast, but expensive magic exp ;-)

I'm fairly sure you can get DT done in a month if you know what quests and levels you need and get them all (or at least the ones you can do in f2p) beforehand, as well as getting a ton of cash for runes to burst.
