November 11, 201015 yr Okay so i'm trying to release a new song tonight for my rap group and i recorded it crystal clear on my iphone. Next i have to combine the voice track with the instrumental and oh joy apple has another ridiculously incompatible format i have to deal with. I've used switch sound converter twice in the past but now my free trial is expired and theres literally no sound converters on the front page of google results aside from switch that don't put annoying taglines in the finished product. i need to convert to a windows format like mp3. PLEASE help. November 11, 201015 yr A .m4a file is a really a fancy way to identify a .mp4. You should manually be able to just edit the extension and it should work. So all you have to do is edit the file from "FILE_NAME.m4a" to "FILE_NAME.mp4". If it doesn't work you can probably convert it in iTunes also. edit: wait I have that wrong, .mp4 is a movie file.. Well anyways you can convert it in Itunes also by right clicking the file then select "create .mp3 version" as long as your import settings are set to .mp3.
November 12, 201015 yr Mediacoder is a great Windows program for converting files, and it's completely free. The Runar's (OSRS) DIY blog - most viewed Blogscape blog ever! Contract? /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
