99 defence or 99 attack

Personally I got 99 def and I don't regret it, less damage taken from hits helps alot with boss hunting, dungeoneering and slayer. If your looking for the fastest method to maxed melees you might want to consider getting 99 attack first though.

Attack defense is a pretty useless skill once you get into the 90s and get 88 summ and 95 pray.

Personally I got 99 Defence first because it was one of my goals, then 99 Attack. Although, I would recommend getting 99 Attack first considering theoretically you hit a lot more accurately.

I did 99 attack, and now I'm going for 99 defence. People might say there's not a much change once you get up into the 90's, but I've noticed a huge difference in the accuracy of my hits.
