vettro
I'm sorry if this makes anyone who has spent dozens of hours searching for one sick, but yesterday I got a hood. If you could tell me how to best utilize it and which characters it makes me invisible to that would be great. Also, I am currently using gorgonite 2h. I found someone to make me one yesterday. He said that spear was better and I also see many people with a maul. I know "better" is hard to describe so if you just told me the pros and cons of each of them and which you suggest it'd be much appreciated. Thanks. krimi
The hood lets you run past some rooms easier or completely by making you invisible to some of the enemies in daemonheim. Some of the enemies you are invisible from are zombies, forgotten warriors, and skeletons (melee and ranged ones). Some puzzle/challenge rooms are easier to complete because of the hood. Also some altars and resources may be easier to access. Quyneax
Battle-axe: one-handed, good slash and crush. Generally, 2h unless you're starting out keying. Sinkhan
If they look like a person or were a person at one point, they won't see you. This doesn't count brutes and mysterious shades though. It also doesn't work in the presence of mage users (so make killing them a priority) and bosses (which you should also make killing a priority :P) The spear only for if you don't want to spend any tokens on the zerker class ring, which shouldn't be the case because even level 1 is very useful and costs almost nothing, or you're going be keying. Also if you have 99 attack and you find a primal spear before a primal 2h, that's another situation you'd use it. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
vettro
Thanks for the replies. So can someone explain the whole customization thing with the ring?
krimi
You can spend some of your tokens to upgrade your ring to give you some bonuses in the dungeon. Berserker increases your strength when you are using the aggressive stance.
vettro
Ok, what exactly is an "aggressive stance" and is it worth it? And to what level? I'm saving my tokens for a rapier also.
Sinkhan
Well just like with any other weapon in Daemonheim or surface RS, you typically have 3-4 attack styles. Each one will train a particular skill (attack, def, str), and use a particular attack type of the weapon (crush, stab, slash), depending on the weapon. So basically, train strength with your 2h. Should be the top right option (slashing) and the bottom left (crushing). At the very least, you should get level 1 (135 tokens, which is pocket change). Most people agree level 5 is the last level where upgrades are still worth it, but many go up to 7-8.
