xxtheonexx2
Well after finally achieving 80+ dungeoneering and 200k tokens, I can finally obtain that sought after chaotic weapon. But unlike most people, I have no use for a chaotic longsword, rapier, or maul due to my attack and strength being lower than 80 (I do not want to raise those skills). So as a range tank, I'd assume the chaotic crossbow would be the obvious choice but I've heard it isn't really worth it and has no real use outside of armadyl godwars. As of now, there is nothing I need that would be a better choice than the crossbow that i can think of. Would using the crossbow at frost dragons be a good idea, or would one of the chaotic sheilds be good for a range tank. Any advise or knowledge would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Quyneax
Rigour. Increased ranged offence and you can't lose it. If you need to be on curses, then yeah, ccbow and solo arma a ton. The crossbow is not worth it at frosts, a handcannon rocks there. The shields are not great, better off getting a solo hilt drop and buying spectral imo. Obtaurian
The crossbow is really good, but rigour might be the better choice for you. It depends on what you do, really. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
green9090
Crossbow at frosts is unnecessary, really. It depends on what you do, as others have said. I've read that chaotic kiteshield is actually the best ranged tank shield for PvP given its high melee/range defense and no negative ranged attack. Rigour is also an obvious choice, though if you use curses that's moot. xpx
The crossbow is really good, but rigour might be the better choice for you. It depends on what you do, really. The crossbow is good for when you really, really need ranged accuracy, which is very rarely. It definitely isn't worth using at frost dragons as you'll be paying 100k an hour for basically nothing, and the only real uses of it are DK's(if you can afford the risk and don't cannon), arma(where it shines) and safe pvp(where, again, it shines). More often than not, a simple rune crossbow is better, however. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. March, 2014.First to 4664 Port Score on 2. March, 2015.
