cannoning wyverns

Aiel

Recommended Posts

I've heard that cannoning wyverns is a fairly efficient method to collect crimson charms. Does anyone have a setup, speed, and aprox. cost per charm for this?

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

helm - neitiznot

cape - fire

amulet - fury

weapon - cls > cr

shield - dfs > body > mind > elemental

plate - bandos

legs - bandos

gloves - barrows

boots - dragon

ring - berserker

spec weapon - eee

familiar - tort/unicorn (i'd go with tort since the bank is kinda far away, just heal with soulsplit)

you can get right about 200 crimsons/h on task, so i'd estimate about 180 or so off task

no estimate on cost, sorry

I don't have ss so I guess I'll go with a uni. Also, invent setups?

uhh, i would say 1 super attack/str for every 20 minutes (repot every 5 - they have ridiculous defence)

with piety and the setup i gave, you will need one prayer potion for every 3.6 minutes (16.5 per hour)

you won't need food with unicorn.

so i guess that would make the inventory:

eee

3 super attack

3 super strength

16 prayer potions

1 super restore

a second uni pouch

uni scrolls

teletab

But you can just leave the cannon after you are done, just pick up a free one from Nulodion.

True, but how do you get the cannon there in the first place with 27 other items in your pack? Also, there would be no reason to leave it there when you're done, seeing as you would have used up your potions by then, and dropped the vials, thus making room for the cannon. The issue with what blade said isn't picking up the cannon, but rather getting it there. Seeing as how I've never cannoned wyverns before though, I can't really give any advice on how to change the inventory to fit a cannon and still be efficient with your potions.

Make a separate trip with the cannon, I suppose. And you don't pick up the cannon, but you bring some wyvern bones/drops.

Seems like a waste of time to have to go get a new cannon just in order to be able to pick up like 24k or so worth of bones imo. Also seems like a waste of time to run all the way there, just to set up a cannon, would make more sense to do something like bringing 1 less super atk and str pot, and 2 or 3 less prayer pots.

I use same as above except I swap Fire cape for Nomads.

I also use Pak Yak filled with sharks & invent made up of 1 x 4 dose Extreme Super sets & 8 x 4 dose Extreme Pray Pots. Cannon & Balls - rest of invent is filled with sharks.

Pray Piety all the way & you should easily tank them.

This is sufficient to get me through a task of 70+ without needing to rebank - the bones are banked via scrolls. You will have enough inventory space to pick items up when you place cannon.
