Dungeoneering...

So i managed to complete my first ever game of Dungeoneering today. I only got 3k Exp or so after the round was done (Level 46 - 47). Now my questions is this: Is the zexp really this slow? It takes about 30 minutes to complete the floor and you only get 3k Exp? Is this the way it is or am i doing something really wrong? I decided that i'd like to get the Chaotic Bow and the Long Sword but if it takes this long then getting one is going to be a goal i'll have to set aside for now. I've heard people say you can get it in 2 weeks but i can't see how at this rate.

Also on that note, are any of the other items wort getting? The thing that prevents poison looks pretty handy for someone like me that enjoys doing Zammy? Also the Surge Box looks handy for Ice Wyrms tasks? Then also that Ranged Prayer? Are any of the shields worth having? Can't remember all the items but what is worth having and what's not?

But yeah my main concern at this stage is the Exp rate. I really don't know if i'm doing something wrong or if this is just the way it is at the start?

It is slow at the start, for sure. You'll get more xp per floor and you'll get faster over time.

Chaotic items worth getting, in order of usefulness: rapier, ccbow, maul, staff, cls. Other stuff: scroll of life, scroll of cleansing, arcane stream necklace, scroll of rigour, antipoison totem, demon tooth necklace, bonecruncher, herbicide, sneekerpeeper.

arcane stream is more useful than chaotic crossbow.

That depends on what you do. It's far easier to get, sure, but if you don't mage anyway...

If you just started, you have 0 prestige. That there could cut your exp in half. Did you solo? Die? Beat all the floors? Etc.

For people who are just starting to train DG, but have gotten several levels off of tears/penguins, your best bet is to beat all the floors you can on C1 difficulty. Then reset.

Also, prestige/resetting. People get confused by this, but this is how it works: beat all the floors you have open and reset. If there's a floor you have the "level" to do but it isn't on your available floor list, beat the highest level floor you can.

Shields aren't worth having, ranged prayer is iffy since no curses, the surge box isn't very useful, although it could come in handy on strikes.

Also, it might be worth not spending tokens many tokens until you can get a rapier, or maybe just one item.

And the class ring: get level 1 in all the ones you think you might use (once you get some tokens) or just level 1 in all of them. Level 1 in all is cheap enough that the tokens don't make a difference.

And you should probably never spend tokens on exp (unless your like 10 exp away) or have like 110+ DG and none of the rewards left to buy interest you.

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

use whatever xp rewards (lamps, pengs, TOG) to get to 40ish DG. then start training. your xp will be much faster.

when you get to be able to do f25+, do them in 5:5 larges. before that, i would do the lowest floors on complexity 1, small, solo, and others on complexity 6, solo, and either med or small.

get in order:

arcstream>rapier>ccbow>maul>rigour>cstaff>cls. i own all of these and have extensive experience in both pvm and pvp. math and experience strongly support the rank order rapier>maul>CLS.

shields are not that good. you might even choose not to get them at all.
