Yet another Fight Caves topic...

Recommended Posts

First of all, I know there are numerous other topics about the fight caves, but none of them apply to me too much.

I've only started doing the caves today, the current score is Me-0, Jad-2, although I did reach the healers both times. Both deaths I would put down to nerves/inexperience and not having the correct 'protect from' prayer active.

At death I always have had a few prayer pots remaining but ran out of brews on both tries. I have added more brews to compensate for this, but am still unsure if my setup and inventory are correct.

*I will be trying to get a SGS on load before my next attempt and will lose a prayer pot.

*Rune gloves are the best I have without wasting money on dragon.

Stats:

Attack-80

Strength-90

Defence-75

Range-77

Prayer-70 (regular prayers)

Constitution-85

No chaotic, extremes or EE.

Have 2.1m in cash left to spend with MTK being cashed in on Saturday. IF, and it's a big if, I need to I can sell my Claws, BCP and Tassets, but would like to avoid this.

Should I use F1and F3 to switch between Inventory and Prayer? And should I kill the healers or try to tank them? And is it possible for me to do it?

Any and all help is appreciated.

use super restore in place of prayer pots. They give like ~2 extra points per dose.

Thanks for your input. :)

Prayer isn't too much of an issue. I think the ratio for brews:restore and brews:super restore is 4:1 and 3:1 respectively. It has boiled down to not having any brews left upon death, so I feel more comfortable having extra brews. And I don't think super restores fully restore lower stats.

Super restores full restore lowered stats and offer more prayer boost per dose than ppots.

Therefore by having super restores in place of prayers you can take a few less of them thus leaving more space for brews thus solving the "i run out of brews" conundrum.

Ok thanks, wasn't sure if they did or not.

imo bring sara brews and every 3 doses of sara bew bring 1 dose super restore

drink 1 super restore after every 3 drinks of sara bew

what i did for nomad and void queen therefore you wont lose much levels etc

and rest bring p pots

I'll do so then.

You should not have to take 9 Brews. You're doing something wrong, i am afraid. When i did Jad i took only 2 Brews. I usually ended up just using 1. The other was just incase i messed up. Are you using all the safe spots? Also take your EE with you. If you do not have one, take the time to get it. It will save you. But you mentioned something about an SGS? This will be good too. Guthans could be your 3rd option. You could trade the Neit helm for a Verac helm if you have the money.

I find that during the last third of the waves up to 62 I get mostly hit by the 90's or due to having to run out to attack a 90 or 360 and the 180 moves out of the safespot. Trying to trap the 180 behind other monsters sometimes takes a while and sometimes I'll be hit by a 180 or 360 melée. And on Jad I'm not fully down with prayer switching so take a lot of damage from him as well. I only have 75 defence to boot.

I don't have a EE and level wise am too far away to get it soon. I'll be looking to get a SGS on loan before my next try. Vearc's helm is just out of reach for me at the minute (without selling melée gear).
