  1. Ended up being the last one to tele out after nine and a half hours, left wih about 6.7m in spits I think, which went up to 7.15m after selling everything. Glad I used Polypore, ran out of Water Surge casts after five or so hours! Thanks for the event! :)
  2. As I'm gradually approaching 200k tokens I'm wondering what would be the best chaotic for me? I know the general answer is rapier, most useful for slayer, training, etc, but as I mostly do PVP based activities and hardly any slayer or the like would a maul be more useful to me? My next chaotic will most likely by the other out of the two but I don't plan on training dungeoneering a lot afterwards so may be a long way away. Any and all help apprieciated. :^_^:
  3. Basically I'm wondering what's the fastest way to get a Deflector by playing the game legitimately, as I don't have anyone to boost with and don't have the slightest clue how to anyway. Best squad recruitment, formations and any useful tactics would be of help as well. Any help is appreciated. :)
  4. Yes you would. Since the amount of tokens you get is just your xp divided by ten and rounded down to the nearest whole number if there is a decimal, e.g. 653xp = 65 tokens. By dungeoneering with a group you would get more xp per floor when compared to soloing, however since from level 30 to level 50 has a fixed amount of xp you would receive the same amount of tokens no mater if you soloed or went in a group, but using a group would result in getting to level 50 faster than soloing. Hope that makes sense. :^_^:
  5. I'll do it for free if you want. Drop me an in game PM. ;)
  6. That's a pretty good setup for it, Neitzot and Verac's helm have same prayer bonus, but Verac's has more defence. You'll only need 1.5k broad bolts at absolute max. Snakeskin boots are better than dragon as they give a range bonus. Use a granite shield if you feel you need more range defence, spirit if you need prayer. You don't really need the whip and wrench is a maybe. Ranging all the way will do fine, meleeing on your first attempt may be too difficult, your choice though. I manged to get my first cape today with nearly the same setup as you but with an inventory of: .200 diamond (e) .9 brews .3 super restores .3 range pots .rest prayer pots And I still had plentiful supplies left at Jad. Better safe than sorry. For range potting I used a spare brew-restore-range before I went into the caves and started using range pots at the 180, 90, 90 wave and had spare doses for Jad. I think that you'll have a fairly comfortable time getting to Jad with your stats. A lot of damage will come from the 90's when with the 360's. I found that I messed up in trapping monsters (mainly 180) behind others, so took melee damage as well. The guide in the AOW is very detailed and gives excellent info about killing Jad and dealing with healers. You can either stand in the very N.E corner or at the N.E of Italy at the start of wave 63, either works fine. Prayer switching is the most likely thing to kill you, especially when the healers come. If you can watch videos and just say to yourself what attacks Jad is using to get used to them it will help no end. Just remember to keep calm and don't focus on Jad's hp, just focus on his attacks. Letting the healers hit you is the best way to deal with them IMO, just as long as one is hitting you, turning steel skin on helps a lot also. Oh and the best of luck.
  7. I find that during the last third of the waves up to 62 I get mostly hit by the 90's or due to having to run out to attack a 90 or 360 and the 180 moves out of the safespot. Trying to trap the 180 behind other monsters sometimes takes a while and sometimes I'll be hit by a 180 or 360 melée. And on Jad I'm not fully down with prayer switching so take a lot of damage from him as well. I only have 75 defence to boot. I don't have a EE and level wise am too far away to get it soon. I'll be looking to get a SGS on loan before my next try. Vearc's helm is just out of reach for me at the minute (without selling melée gear).
  8. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Good enough inventory? Obviously will include a SGS for prayer pot.
  9. Ok thanks, wasn't sure if they did or not. I'll do so then.
  10. Thanks for your input. :) Prayer isn't too much of an issue. I think the ratio for brews:restore and brews:super restore is 4:1 and 3:1 respectively. It has boiled down to not having any brews left upon death, so I feel more comfortable having extra brews. And I don't think super restores fully restore lower stats.
  11. First of all, I know there are numerous other topics about the fight caves, but none of them apply to me too much. I've only started doing the caves today, the current score is Me-0, Jad-2, although I did reach the healers both times. Both deaths I would put down to nerves/inexperience and not having the correct 'protect from' prayer active. At death I always have had a few prayer pots remaining but ran out of brews on both tries. I have added more brews to compensate for this, but am still unsure if my setup and inventory are correct. Uploaded with ImageShack.us *I will be trying to get a SGS on load before my next attempt and will lose a prayer pot. *Rune gloves are the best I have without wasting money on dragon. Stats: Attack-80 Strength-90 Defence-75 Range-77 Prayer-70 (regular prayers) Constitution-85 No chaotic, extremes or EE. Have 2.1m in cash left to spend with MTK being cashed in on Saturday. IF, and it's a big if, I need to I can sell my Claws, BCP and Tassets, but would like to avoid this. Should I use F1and F3 to switch between Inventory and Prayer? And should I kill the healers or try to tank them? And is it possible for me to do it? Any and all help is appreciated.

  13. Have to agree, the rewards are horrible for what you have to do, right now I'm doing a tree puzzle box and have been doing so for an hour and a half just to get to the last two being the wrong way round and it can't be done. :wall: Even if it could I doubt I'd get more than 15k from this Level 3 clue, for a possible three hour plus clue.
  14. I find that the people who actually care that you play Runescape are: .people who play or have played .people with absolutely no life what-so-ever A perfect example is one of my friends, in-real-life, who is an academic year younger than me, I'm Year 10. He used to play but quit a while ago, I never knew him from it, I met him at Primary school. We both have Xbox 360's so whilst on that I mentioned Runescape and his reaction was: "Wow, OMG, u play runescape" (Bearing in mind that he lived on his 360 for ages and tries to hide the fact by now living on Windows Live Messenger) I've never been addicted to Runescape or my 360, and never will be, but when I do go on I enjoy myself and rightly so. Earlier today I signed into Xbox Live only to find him on Messenger and instantly got into conversation with me, saying: him-ha,ha you play runescape, nerd me-Your point is? him-nerd nerd nerd me-I suppose that is why I have a life, unlike yourself? him-*signs out* I suppose what I'm saying is that handle the situation how you want, you never know, they might be in the same situation as you.
  15. Either: .Bullet For My Valentine - Tears Don't Fall .Breaking Benjamin - Blow Me Away .Linkin Park - In The End .Shinedown - Devour
  16. Runescape is far from dead, sure the removal of wilderness pking was a massive blow and many thought that it was the apocalypse of Runescape, but the community has bounced back and seems to be as satisfied as, if not more so then, before. I'll have to admit that I'm not the biggest fan of the PVP updates, Bounty Hunter results in getting piled by clans and really is a waste of time, comparing it to the wilderness, due to penalties and waiting to go back in limits . Also, PVP worlds are full of people who 1 item and have pitiful random rewards . Despite this, most people have taken to these updates and enjoy them greatly so I guess it is down to preferences. So, jAGeX in the end aren't afraid to gamble their game away in the chance to improve it ten-fold. =D>
  17. 16 monkfish (they did hit harder then normal so my time there was shortened)
  18. yep but i only got 1 rune scimi and 3 rune squares with other stuff in about 40 mins.
  19. great guide 10/10  Best guide for barrows I've read, although i don't do barrows now as i went on 10 trips and spent 200k in items (mostly p pots) and barely got 75k back from it. -.-
  20. good first guide-7.5/10 just started killing these today and on first trip i came out with 201k 8-) to improve the guide you could put in some averages: .money per trip .kills per trip .time per trip and also a members section would be good
