After testing the Zamorak spear and Saradomin sword, I realised I want them. But, being the masochistic bosswhore that I am, I want to solo the GWD bosses for them. Sadly, I'm also deadly afraid of death and the idea of not getting to my grave in time (or worse, having to loot it with the terrible new condensed table while there are monsters beating my skull into a new millenium).

 

So I ask of you, Tip.it people, to recommend me a proper wellfare kit that maximises kills and minimises loss as death. For the record, I mentioned Ranged because it's my highest combat stat and not too terrible to solo said two bosses with. Also, my understanding of wellfare gear is losing anything up to around 1M.

I've always found Neitz to be a cheap substitute for Veracs - less def, but you still get some prayer. However, according to Bladewing the helm should be one of the items you protect (as it's worth over 400k) so only swap that out if you have a different item you want to protect. Just make sure you take some God protection - perhaps a book and/or arrow to be thrown away before the fight...

 

(I find it beneficial to have protection from Zamorak for Sara GW killcount, because of all the Zamorak creatures attacking them. You can also mooch off their kills.)

amulet - glory, holy/unholy simbol (protection + high prayer bonous)

ammo - 1 zamorak/saradomin arrow. (just for kill count until you get to the boss its self)

with the setup i gave, using protect item, he would keep

i believe OP wanted to actually kill bosses and get drops, not run around in circles, never hitting the boss and having god protection that doesn't even work on the boss. have you ever actually been to GWD?

Go with blades setup or just merchant for the sword because that would be more "efficient".

 

And I'm honestly being serious the drop rate on those diy items is pretty slim when you could get the money faster using other methods.

 

If you find K'ril fun then disregard that advice, I really find that boss to be the least fun one.

 

As for Saradomin I love that boss, but not soloing. It's like tag except you're always it.

Yeah, regarding 'efficiency', I have time to worry about that in college and once I have a job. I genuinely find solo'ing fun, more fun than flipping cash to be efficient in a game I just play for fun.

And I could buy both tenfold if I wanted to. But where's the fun in that?

for zamorak, bring 1 zamorak arrow to wear during kc, which you can chuck after you are in the boss room
