Monkey Madness Quest

I am currently working on completing the monkey madness quest. After reading through guides on completing the quest, I noticed it said that the best ways to defeat the demon were to use magic and ranging. However, I believe that I don't have high enough mage or range levels to defeat the demon. (mage = 55 and range = 48). What would be the best method for me to defeat this demon?

I finished the quest myself when I was only 41 range, and had no problems. So you should do just fine ;]

What items did you use when you ranged the demon?

the boss fight is is easyer then any of the other random animals you find around ape atol.

 

as long as you have pro mage.

have 37 prayer, and at least 2 prayer pots.

 

it is posible to melee it to victory without takeing damage if you really do feal to weak to mage or range (your not), just attack (pray mage) hit ONCE even if you hit a zero and run away b4 it can melee you back. i did that, and it worked. although i should of mages it lol.

Can't really remember exactly, it's been about 5 years since I did it, and my equipment would probably be outdated now..

But, in any case, I probably just wore dragonhide and ranged with my best bow/arrows.

It's a very easy fight, you should have no problems.

addy crossbow with addy bolts would be better then the short bow.

Probably mentioned but I Cbf reading: The Gnomes will also help kill him. Pray Magic, safe him with range/mage and take a prayer potion or two. I did it myself with 50 Range, Magic Shortbow and Steel Arrows.

just hide & when hes low hp like 10% left go & attack with range & pray mage

 

thats wat i did on my nub with 40 range

Yeah I think I got him with yew short and mith arrows. Was easy, kinda fun to fight with a whole squad of elite gnomes :).

Since my range lvl is 48 and I'm about 17k experience away from lvl 50, should I advance to lvl 50 in order to wield a magic shortbow or should I just go on ahead and range him how I am? Any thoughts?

you should get 50 range just for the mage short bow regardless of needing it for the quest or not.

so, yes.

but dont be afraid to finish it without the mage short.
