I plan on leveling smithing by smithing gold ores into bars. After that I will have thousands of gold bars and what should I do with them for the best usage. By that I mean best combination of experience and money. Probably want to craft something that I can sell in ge. Thanks

The first few items should give you some ideas.

 

As a note, what you're suggesting is very inefficient, however if you feel compelled to waste time (and money) crafting your gold bars, then according to the prices in that link gold bracelets profit the most.

Sell them or drop them. Training crafting with gold is slow, better make battlestaffs or green dhide.

As mentioned, sell them. Crafting with gold bars is a huge waste of time.

Sell the bars and use that money to train with green d'hide bodies if you want to train crafting. Best bet for anything is to sell them though.

what is best to make with the green hides? Bodies? what do I do after I make the green d hide bodies, sell those too? Then even further, once I sell the green dhide bodies, should I use the cash to just buy more green hides and make more bodies again, and keep repeating til the money runs out?

Considering gold bars cost 94 gp, and 99 mining takes about 45k ores, you'd be making a grand total of 4.3mil selling them, in return for slower xp that proably wastes a lot more than 4 hours (assuming you can make 1m per hour, which is quite easy these days).

 

Then crafting with gold is horribly slow xp. D'hides would only cost about 1.5-2mil per hour and give 250k+ per hour, and then if you ever become rich gems would be best.

 

So I'd just drop them. Unless you don't care about efficiency. In which case the first post already answered it.

 

OR, with free trade comming back, you could trim some armor for free :thumbsup:
