January 17, 201115 yr Right I set myself the task of 1000 chests and I'm at chest 635! Go me... . However this is slow going as I started mid September and the time I can spend playing is even lower right now. So far I have 37 barrows items, quite a bit of money there but I was wondering what will happen to barrows item prices in the next couple of months? Many pieces seemed to crash in the last two weeks but are now recovering(karils top for example). I'm not sure if the free trade and wildy update will cause prices to go down or rise or be pretty much unaffected. I haven't sold any items so far and wanted to wait until I'd done 1k chests but if their value will decrease a lot in say 2-3 months time I'll sell what I have so far now. any advice folks? cheers, Joe.
January 17, 201115 yr If I were you I would sell some once in a while. Just keep track of the value, because dumping all of them at once might cause the item not to sell at all.I'd just sell a few weekly for around med, just to make sure you're not the cause of crashing your own item  2016 goals: all skills +30mil xp - Completed this goal 11th December 2016 2017 goals: get at least 3 more master capes (start xp: invention done@21st Jan, mining done@2nd April & ranged 76/104mil done@June 20th) & all skills +40mil xp (done 24th August)
January 17, 201115 yr I would sell them now. Chances are they've already crashed though. When free trade comes out, 2 things will happen: 1) deflation will kick in, because statuettes, a huge source of money in the game, will be gone. 2) items will no longer get lost upon death in pvp worlds, but transferred to the winner of the fight. These 2 things will both make barrows item cheaper (less will dissapear, and there will be less money in general). Better use the positive vibe (if it's still going) and sell your armour now. Well yeah big downturn the last two weeks for some items, some haven't changed and some seem very erratic. Karils top was near 7m, crashed down to like half the price, now shot back up to 7m. Think I'll sell now, should be a nice 50m or so. . Any idea on rune prices, I assume deflation too? I mean chaos are worthless, I have 70k of those. 42k deaths, 22.3k bloods and 19k racks.
January 17, 201115 yr Get rid of all your Dharok helms, they are going to crash hard (probably karil top too)
January 17, 201115 yr Author Get rid of all your Dharok helms, they are going to crash hard (probably karil top too) whys that? But tbh I think I'll sell all now.
January 17, 201115 yr Dharok helmets are lost on death in normal RS (due to having the lowest alch value of the set). I wouldn't see why that would change though. January 17, 201115 yr Dharok helmets are lost on death in normal RS (due to having the lowest alch value of the set). I wouldn't see why that would change though. But i would also think of it this way: Since the old wild is coming back, 3 and 4 iteming will come back. So possibly the helm will retain some of it's value? Since people could just 4 item with just the set. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.
January 17, 201115 yr 4 iteming is with protect item, right? So yes the helmets would still be valuable, as I said, if people get smited out (and they do). January 18, 201115 yr The helms normally disappear from the game really often due to low alch price. They won't disappear anymore, and the over inflated price right now will go back to normal, and considering it's the most ridiculously overinflated, it's probably going to crash the hardest.

Exactly, with full dharoks and no skull, the helm won't be lost. And even if it was lost, it wouldn't disappear but instead be transferred. Therefore, demand for the helm would lower, and the price will go down.
