My paint pic

you have drawn lines in about 30 seconds, used fill can on them

That is not a pixel image

you have to get a brush or pencil tool down to be the size of 1 pixel aka turn size down to 1

then you draw lines and shade the entire image a pixel at a time. that is what a pixel image is.

the end result after what is normally atleast 2 days for any good pixeller is like that shown in my sig

your picture has no type and no skill invovled really

If you want to post here it needs to be pixel, rendered, brushed atleast use a known type o9f image making

rather than fill can an image so tht it juts looks like a bad pixel

Paw Claw, he never said it was a pixel image, he just said it was his first paint pic. Anyway, it is pretty simple. Even if you weren't doing the whole pixel style, try doing some shading on it. Might make it better. Good luck

I know tht but

a)Pixel is kind of the given style to do it ur using paint as its only way u can really make anything tht gd

b)It is sort of a badly dun pixel

and most importantly

c)I thought I had editted out all the stuff tht said it was a pixel, but keeping to my point after I realised i had mis read title

By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .

I beg to differ. My freind does some amazing graphiti style pictures on paint, and they certainly aren't pixels.

Try and put a bit more time into it and maybe you will be able to make it alot better, don't forget that when you look at something it isn't just a solid block of colour, it has textures and shades.

Oh c'mon guys.

He's trying something new, why not help 'em out a little?

He never said it was a pixel (though, it's made of pixels, so it is still a pixel image, technically), so don't go yelling at him. ;P

You have a decent concept, and the drawing itself isn't bad...

You just need to make it smaller, IE, use the Pencil tool in paint.

The Pencil tool is the one pixel tool everyone is talking about.

Afterwards, I suggest checking out some of the tutorials on shading and the like in the sticky located in this forum.

Good luck for the future. ;P

Woot that's leet. Nice composition and fresh choice of colours! But it goes downhill from there. :(

For now I suggest you practice with pencil & paper on simple things (e.g. fruits or still life). Get into shading and details later, just make sure you get the lines right first.

Practice with line only sketches and once you get used to that move onto shading and details. At the very least, master your line sketches before you go back to pixeling. :)

pencil and paper?

why do that, not all computer artists can draw in real life and vica versa not all who can draw well in real life can do computer drawing. I mean for my latest pixel my real life drawing skill had no impact at all, as in real life I don't draw lines oput of tiny squares and draw them 1 at a time

Sketching on paper is a lot easier to do that drawing with a mouse, and the skills you learn while sketching can be easily translated into skills on the mouse, with shapes, proportions and shadings etc.

Sketching's been one of my favourite hobbies since I first started school, and now I've gotten quite decent at it, and each time I do another pixel I found myself quite quickly catching up with what I can do with the mouse to what I can do with the pencil.
