House Help.

I want to "rebuild" my house to get full use out of it. Thing is, i'm not 100% sure about the essentials.

I was thinking the following:

1) Teleport Rooms that will enable me to teleport to all possible locations (not 100% sure how many rooms that would be)

2) Chapel (for obvious reasons)

3) Work Room (the one with the armour stand to repair Barrows)

At the moment those are about the only usefull things i can think about, did i miss anything?

For full usefulness a house should have:

2 portal rooms (6 portals, there are 7 possible locations they go to but 1 is yanille so exit portal covers tht)

Chapel

Workshop (for repair stand and tool racks)

Costume room (epic banksapce saver)

menagerie (for the mini obelisk)

Study (telescope for star hunting, eagle lecturn for teleport tabs and bookcase)

Quest Hall (mounted glory and bookcase again possibly)

2 bed rooms with beds (for servant getting)

won't need bedrooms with 99 Con, Right? Or is there still some use for a butler after with 99 Con?

butler is useful for bank running and noting/unnoting for various tasks like teletab making, sometimes for solo guilded altar use (mainly if u lag alot i think this one is for not 100% sure)

Spose its not 100% vital at 99 con, but still has it uses

Alteast 1 fully furnished bedroom is good thought for base clothes and hair changing anyway

I would recommend a setup like this. Personally I added some more gardens as well (the costume room is one to the right and it's place is taken by a garden).

The setup above has 15 rooms, leaving plenty for a nice dungeon or a second floor, and it covers all the essentials. The idea is that you arrive at the portal in the center, then go to the right into the menagerie to recharge summoning, then down into the chapel to recharge prayer, then left into the quest hall where your glory is, or left or above-left for portals (Ardougne, Lumbridge, Kharyll, Camelot, Falador, Varrock with the house itself at Yanille). It's quite useful to take the glory to Edgeville, bank there, buy supplies if needed between slayer tasks/boss hunting trips.

Sorry to break in your thread, but I don't see the need for having two portal chambers. Why would you need those teleports (except of course the one to canafis pub), because you still need to teleport to your house. the only reason I can see why you would do that if you have many house tablets or have your spellbook on lunar or ancient.

2 portal chambers and all thoose portal is useful because it adds teleport options to lunar and ancients.

Plus house tabs are a cheap 1 click tele.

And the house acts as a great inter-task hub for slayer etc where u can grab summoning points, prayer recharge and then dive out into a multitude of useful locations.

Personall I pretty much always jsut take house tabs and go via my house, even when on normal mage. Because I just keep a stock of them

Sy got it. It's extremely easy to have a stack of hometabs, and if you walk around with them, you can just break one and go anywhere (chisel in house means chipped tabs as well).

2 portal rooms (6 portals, there are 7 possible locations they go to but 1 is yanille so exit portal covers tht)

He didn't say where his house is located. So the yanille one might be important to him. My house isn't at yanille so the exit portal for me would take me to relleka(sp). So depending on where your house is you might want to have 3 portal rooms. 2 of them will have all 3 portals activated and in the other one only one. In my house I have 2 portal rooms and the only portal I don't have right now set up is the lumby one but I'm thinking about adding it.

You might, but its an utter waste; for anyone with an ounce of sense Yanille is the place to keep your house, possible occasionally move it to other spots for training purposes.

But all other spots are epically well covered by teleports* compared to yanille (which only has watchtower tele), especially since chipped home tele tabs allow you to tele to go directly to any house portal.

*Cept perhaps pollinivneach until you have slayer rings; but even then theres a multitude of other teles reasonably close.
