Azanteus
-----------------Introduction----------------- Hi there Tip.It! I am new to the forums here so I'll start my telling you a bit about my history on Runescape. I started playing in 2006/7 when I discovered the game and it was not long before I was hooked and started making my adventures in Gielinor more frequent. I explored the free-to-play content extensively and finally decided to pay for membership. I continued to enjoy the membership advantages, working my way up to three figure combat levels before quitting for just over a year. On my return I continued to play my original account until realising that losing my wealth (I had given away my items to friends when I quit) had taken some of the fun out of the character and that I wanted a new challenge. So this brings us to the present day; I decided to venture once again into the world of Runescape and created a new character who I would hopefully level up efficiently and enjoyably utilising the experience gained from levelling a character before. I started my new character, Azanteus, in the New Year (2011). ---------------------Blog description--------------------- I will be posting my progress by using various progression factors (detailed below). This blog will be updated every 5 days (120 hours) of gameplay as indicated by my Adventurer's Log. Progression factors: Total Level: Quest Points:Tasks completed:Best of bank value:Music Unlocked: ---------------------------------------Milestone #1 - 5 days played--------------------------------------- Synopsis: I started Azanteus in the New Year, ready for a new and exciting challenge. A number of new additions had been added to the game since my last departure and nothing was more interesting to a low level character than the new dungeon in Lumbridge. I began to level my combat stats while searching for the mask of Dragith Nurn, obtaining a generous amount of starting cash as I did so from the drops I collected. I then focused on training combat with slayer assignments, in order to level this skill up and not leave it too late. A significant portion of my levels were achieved in order to work towards completing the tasks in the Lumbridge task set. I also focused on getting my magic level up, largely to facilitate teleporting around what is actually quite a large world. I am now focusing on levelling my range to obtain better armour as defence against Killerwatts, a task which had me grinding through food so quickly a requirement of ninety-eight kills seemed impossible. So, without further ado here are my progression statistics for this first milestone: Total Level: 811 Quest Points: 61/312 Tasks completed: 143/417Best of bank value: 964k Music Unlocked: 193/760 Other interesting or significant achievements: -Obtained the mask of Dragith Nurn-Obtained a Cornucopia-Obtained full rune before 40 combat-Completed all F2P quests-Used a gilded altar to level prayer-Have not died yet -----------------------------------------Milestone #2 - 10 days played----------------------------------------- Synopsis: Coming soon.. Total Level: 1061 [+250] Quest Points: 147/312 [+86] Tasks completed: 163/417 [+20]Best of bank value: 6630k [+5666k] Music Unlocked: 316/760 [+123] Other interesting or significant achievements: -Can use slayer dart and broad projectiles-Have not died yet --------------Final word-------------- Thank you for taking an interest in my blog and I hope you will check back again soon to see my progress. Feel free to contact me in game whenever I am on, Private chat is ON so drop me a message! Thanks again and good luck in all your goals as well. ~Azanteus
Azanteus
After achieving 50 ranged, I figured I may as well get an archer helm to go with my shiny new blue dragonhide armour to boost my magic defence for killerwatts and to boost my range strength for when I train to level 60. This required to level my woodcutting and fletching level - I easily grinded my woodcutting to 40 which was only a few levels but I got a bit carried away with fletching; I only need level 25 for Frem. Trials but I got to 46 with the materials banked for 50. In other news, I won some cooked swordfish from guessing song lyrics at the grand exchange, yay! Time to quest... ~Azanteus
Doughnut
Hehe nice accomplishments in 120 hours. Are you going to go for a harder 99, like an untrimmed slayer cape? Sir_Sibz
I enjoyed reading through your blog! :) Nice, simple lay-out. I'm going to be following this blog too. :P Good luck with your future goals! (I like how you noted that you haven't died yet.) lol :shades:
Azanteus
Hehe nice accomplishments in 120 hours. Are you going to go for a harder 99, like an untrimmed slayer cape? I have certainly considered it - if I ever do go for a 99, I would not like it too be too run-of-the-mill. I'd be extatic with slayer or herblore for example, happy with any combat stat but unhappy with something like cooking. ~Azanteus

It's funny you should bring up about dieing, I came frightfully close today, escaping Killerwatts with 16 hp - this is certainly a task I will be skipping in the future. ~Azanteus

Azanteus
Attended a drop party in celebration of the return of the wilderness - almost impossible to obtain anything with the amount of what I can only suppose were autoers clicking and telegrabbing, although I did come away with a cannon set and a dragon scimitar, which is a cool 500k that I wouldn't have had otherwise. ~Azanteus

foursideking
Meh...tis always good to give people some sort of incentive for completing goals. Heck, I remember back when I was just starting. I only had 50combat, mind you my total lvl was up around 900. I was getting combat up so I could start doing the 'tougher' quests, when a guy in full verac's came up to me, offering me a challenge. The challenge for me was 'either complete heroes, or get 65combat in 2 weeks'. I accepted almost immediately, seeing as I was going to do'm anyways, and ran off to go kill mossies. 2 weeks go by, and I've completed both goals (getting up to 75combat in the process), so I decide to head off to castle wars and have some fun. Sure enough, as I begin to bank, I see the guy again, still in veracs. He offers me a trade, I accept, and he puts up 4k dragon bones. We both accept, and he teles, sending me a pm saying 'feels good to have an incentive'. Even if you don't complete the challenge, it should still give you a huuuuge push in the right direction, possibly toward a quest cape...
