Two things. One, the abyss isn't in the wilderness so you can't be attacked by other players in there. Two, a ppot will restore prayer in the abyss.

Oh and I suppose I can add a third:

He told the pker to wear claws, they're not going into abys unless a real pker come and they need to escape.

There's a superb counter strategy for abyss pk'ers. First and for all, bring a tele (I use explorer ring, as I feel an abyss pk'ers ain't worth spending 1k for) and use it when getting entangles (make sure you're quick cause next attack is tb). Then make sure pray is up, and 1-item the pk'er using a spec weapon (e.g. korasi is good). If you have done Nomad's requiem, you spawn at sw, so you just go straight back to the pk'er. They really hate it.
