Current account ~ Combat 67

Attack: 40

Strength: 70

Defence: 40

HP: 66

Ranged: 70

Prayer: 45

Magic: 60

Can this account be an effective rune pure, or should I begin a new PKing account? I ask because the 40 defence and 45 prayer make it hard for me to KO anyone in my combat bracket considering what they lack in defence and prayer, they make up for in KO potential.

I'm more than willing to start again on 1 Defence & Prayer pure, but I'm just wondering if I can salvage this account?

Best way to salvage any pure:

Just make it a normal proper balanced account.

Pures are a big hype that doesnt pan out so well in the long run in my experience. With current pk systems etc a pure can be brilliant in a very narrow band of situations, while a generally balanced account can usually survive or smash out any pure of equal level.

So if I were to continue with my current account, what would be my next level targets?

Definitely carry on with this account. You have a lot to work with... thing is in F2p high level pking (I do it) Can be very fustrating due to the lack of weapon power.

You need to leave your def at 40.

Train your strength and range up.

And perhaps your attack (max to 50).

Use your range to lower the hp and then go for the kill with the big 2h swipe.

What the above poster said. If you're able to, try for 80 Strength/80 Ranged - I'd avoid raising Attack to be honest, as Rune Items protect over Gravite 2h, and you'll mostly be pking with armour on.

I found a panda and then we bought malt liquor. I hold my malt liquor better than a panda.

And I thought my weekends were good. ._.

I'd just go zerk with it, don't train up to 45 def though, you'll get that from doing quests. Idk what that dude at the top is on about, from 90-100 combat your zerk is going to dominate and you should be able to make good profit from pking. You wouldn't have to do anything out of the ordinary, just high strength, decent attack, 94 magic, 52 prayer and whatever ranged you'd like to have him to have if you want to hybrid. It's really simple, the only hassle with zerks is they require a lot of questing.

If you quested your current defense levels carry on with that account, if the defense levels are trained then start again as somewhere along the line you won't be able to get turm, serker helm, barraws gloves etc (not entirely sure, but I know to have a max serker, with all boosts, you end up with 47 def and that's all from questing).
