ITT this thread is your excuse to act snooty about helping a less informed player.

Yes everyone should know the most efficient herblore method because you do, yes everyone should know which is the best chaotic weapon for ever situation, and yes everyone should be a money making pro, but when someone is not why dont you get off your high horse and help even if it has been answered 50 times - chance are they are new players who wouldnt know to look - or situations may have changed since the question was answered previously.

This thread is rather obnoxious and reeks of the typical elitist jerks that this forum is gaining more of.

What do you mean...how to look? There are ALWAYS 3+ moneymaking / cr cls / herby xp threads on the front page..

And just because someone is new to the forum doesn't mean they don't know how to use a search bar >.>

not always, and if there are I dont see more then 1 post about a subject per page at all given times, and honestly not every new person knows how to use the search bar.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who's tech-savy enough to play runescape that's never encountered a search bar before, I mean it's not much different than Google.

The quality of the H&A is only there because there are good people willing to sacrifice their time. If the sacrifice isn't appreciated(and is being abused, as we find from this topic), what is the motivation behind helping others? This has nothing to do with elitism, rather how people are so stupid nowadays that they can't even do their shoe laces. If you want a question answered, first search for it, and if you can't find it, then ask. Is that too much to ask?

By the way, i love the way some people call others bad names for all the wrong reasons. Really shows what they are made of.

+1 i made that the title solely because I had just gotten done watching the robot chicken skit on it.

@ringworld how is it elitist to wonder about the actual usefullness of our posting answers to questions a simple search could have found? I've no problem helping out a misinformed or underinformed player, i enjoy it actually (hence why most of my posts are in H&A), there just comes a point where you arent helping, but enabling people to remain stupid.

For instance, if a street bum asks me for 5 bucks for a meal I will gladly pay for his meal. If this happens every day for a month and he hasn't even filled out a job application then Im no longer helping him, im enabling him to remain in poverty. His position is static at best and I've aquired a drain on my resources.

Same principle applies to H&A
