February 8, 201115 yr I've always supercomposed my pineapple trees, but I just noticed that it costs about half as much to just pay the farmer to protect them. Since compost doesn't affect the harvest yield on trees (like it does on herbs) is there any reason to compost them at all anymore? I know that the supercompost can actually prevent disease, instead of curing it like the farmers do, so it has the potential to save time. I only do one tree run a day though, so I don't think that should be an issue.
February 8, 201115 yr Hm, if you decide to go lunar magicks - you can compost for cheaper then it actually costs to buy the compost.Compost does give some exp when you plant it - so it's not terrible.
February 8, 201115 yr Plus if you just put the 10 watermelon into the compost bin, 30 watermelons = 30 supercompost. You'll have enough supercompost for a long time to come.

If by "long time" you mean 2 days of two herb runs and a single tree run each day, then yes. However while I think overall that lunars would be better for farming for the teleports and compost spell, I like the normal book too much and it's a hassle to switch back and forth. February 8, 201115 yr Author The problem is that if you only use supercompost the trees can still die. Also, I really don't want to get into making my own compost. I actually have several thousand Pungent vines left over from jadinko hunting if I ever felt the desire. It's just too much of a hassle trying to juggle my inventory around, so I'd rather just buy them.
February 8, 201115 yr Eh, even though a protected tree won't die, it will take more time to grow if it gets diseased. But if you're doing only one tree run per day anyway, then you can cut out the compost. Things can get a little bit aggravating if you include calquats on your run (after the Brim patch) as it takes 3-4 more hours naturally to grow. February 8, 201115 yr Author I do calquats also (with a Tai bwo wannai teleport) but they usually fit nicely into the once-per-day run. I actually have an amulet of nature bound to the calquat patch, and only start my run when it says that the tree is fully grown.
February 8, 201115 yr always supercompost always payment on trees pineapple+ (the lower ones are optional, imo i'd pay the payments to guarantee getting to higher trees faster) How to Chin Nechyraels for fast XP and profit
