February 21, 201115 yr i have a f2p pure that is melee, but would like to get some magic on him so that mages dont do ''as much'' damage. first off, good idea or bad? second of all i would like to do so without getting any hp from doing so. i am currently 29 magic from weakens and can do low alch. is there anything on GE i can buy to alch to break even (i buy the nats 172ea) or even make a little profit? im looking for something i can buy in bulk. i realise low alch wont break even but i need to do something till i can superheat at very least any help is appreciated. thanks

February 21, 201115 yr You can still cast combat spells, just so long as you never hit with them (though it wont be incredibly fast xp, depends what your target level is really)Just gear up in melee armour for negative mage bonuses and autocast on something that has decent mage defence and you should be fine. February 21, 201115 yr You can always just use your spells on those few elemental mages near port sarim.I take it that their element wont hurt them (this way at least you can afk a bit)
