How many Overloads

What's a decent amount of over load potions? I'm currently 89 herblore and I figure that instead of training using the best gp/exp extreme potion, it'd be wiser to make a decent amount of them all so that when I finally get the level, I can make a decent amount of overloads.

Basically how many of each should I make before I stop caring about diversity and can just focus on the best gp/exp potion?

You should never make another tradable potion- focus on overload ingredients all the way to 99. I made like 800 4 dose overloads getting 99 herblore and thought "whelp I'll never have to make those again!" They're over halfway gone. You can't make too many overloads/super prayers/super antifires/spec restores, they're all investments rather than money down the drain like a tradable potion would be.

I hear that making ~1k ovl ingredients for training to 91 is the way to go, and you'll want to save some extremes for slaying and more casual/general combat.

Don't forget to consider the cost of the overloads themselves. Those torstol aren't exactly cheap. I remember when I first got 91 I had to go moneymake more before I made overloads.

PM me in game anytime

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

Whatever you do, Don't 4-dose your extremes if you plan to use them in OVL.. Because you have to do them by hand, as they can't be noted and done in mass.

Fair enough, I have 2000 extreme attacks at the moment, I'm in the middle of making 2000 extreme strengths which should get me to 90. I guess I'll make 2000 extreme defence then etc.

This is what I did. Tbh the only painfull one is the ext. range. Those spikes are not cheap. But I have 99 hunter so I did a combination of buying some and hunting some.

This allows you to have alot of every type of ext. Then just get some torstols. I have been farming them plus buying some with the profits from GWD trips.
