Romper Stomper. - Had alot of racist issues in it.

BlackHawk Down. - it showed the true side of war.

Good call - which reminds me:

American History X. I felt like curling up and dying after watching the end of that film.

Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.

WARNING: ===SPOILER===

Was black hawk down the one where at the end, the army wasn't alloud to take the refugee's across the fence into a safety zone? Eh that movie was just okay. The only part I really remember of it was when the downed pilot only had a pistol left and it was him vs like 1000 people.

Oh... I think I am thinking of 3 kings, where at the end they have a bunch of refugees but can't cross into the refugee camp, and they get arrested or something...

In that case, I didn't think blackhawk down was a very powerful movie.

You know what movie STUNK HORRIBLY???

The village...

They advertise this thing like it's some scary crap your pants freddy kruger chain saw massacure type deal....

So I sit down prepared to be thrilled. Instead? I am bored to death by one of the worst love stories I have ever heard. Horrible acting, horrible lighting, horrible camera angles. All over horrible movie.

Don't get me wrong, I'm game for the occasional love movie here and there, I guess... like top gun or something

But when you lure people in, telling them they are gonna see a scray movie, and then give them the Titanic... what the heck do you expect? You see the "monster" two times through out the entire movie, and one of the times, you already know its just the crazy old fart running the cult in that suit

And what the heck kind of plot was that? Some rich guy sets up a little town inside a woods and tells everyone if they go into the woods they die, if they see red, they die.... he doesn't let planes fly over, and pretends its the 14th century. It was an interesting idea overall, and had potential... but in the end, the just made a big flop as far as I'm concerned.

Forest gump was an interesting story. I just don't care much for the middle, when it's slummy and depressing. Drugs, alchohol, fighting, yelling, arguing, ect, that stuff doesn't interest me, I go to the movies to get away from that.

I'm not into sport movies like coach carter though, they bore me.

John Q was just okay. A little drastic...

I liked the movied "The Negotiator" Good plot, story, acting, ect.

Doesn't matter to me. It's movie related

Uggg... who said flight club?

That movie gave me such a headache, litterally, I had a headache after watching it for like 2 days. I don't know why, but it was awful. I only got like half way thru and it was so bad I took some nyquil and went sleepy sleepy...

Anyways, heres something for you guys to do. Go get your old old old favorite kids movie... and watch it now that your a little older and wiser. Call me crazy, but there are actually alot of, I don't know if you'd want to say subliminal messages, but "suggestions"

For instance, peter pan portrays society as male dominated. There are alot of references in the movie towards women being "dumb" "too talkitive" and "easilly manipulated" There is also some rascism in the movie towards native americans (the song "what makes a red man red" and many deragatory slangs used, such as injun)

Try it, it's surprising what they put in some of our heads

Good early-weekend for me to be honest. Friends + beer + nuudles + good movies = absolutely the best time ever.

Touching movie about few steelfactor-workers and friends from inducstrialtown, US, who get called to the Vietnam-war.

Starring: Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken, Meryl Streep etc.. All the actors in the film are gr8 and wouldnt had changed them for no1. Dialogy is just brilliant and the way the story continues.. awww, im in love.

Fu** je!

2.) The Boondock Saints

B00006JY6A.02.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

To be honest, the movie is full of gr8 humor and killing.. = action, but when there is stuff like friendship and Willem Dafoe, u know that u gonna love this movie.

3.) 11086508157153335.jpg

Sergio Leone, Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef = A piece of cinema history. (I'm starting to be a little tired after these all vodka drinks..) :DD

4.) Leon. Sounds like a hillarious popstar-idol. = Not this guy..

leona.jpg

I honestly cried at the end.. (or mayby it was the influence of alcohol, WHO knows?)

And at the last...

5.) Unleashed "Danny The Dog"

p7642.jpg

I've actually started to like Jet Li-movies in a while.. and this one was the most "touching" of them all..

Powerful movies?

The Shawshank Redemption, probably my favourite film of all time, brilliant.

The Green Mile, another of my favourite films, which many people claim to have one of the saddest endings of all time, and although i agree, i felt there was some positive note at the end.

Gladiator, the soundtrack probably tipped this film into the category of "powerful", along with brilliant cinematics.

Platoon, depressing, but powerful.

The Deer Hunter.

The Godfather, maybe not so much but brilliant acting on all fronts, especially from Marlon Brando made it towards the end.

"Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

I think the soundtrack killed the most powerful moments of the Gladiator. :?

Pink Floyd's 'the wall'

Clockwork orange (crying for the lack of chapter 21, but stillgood)

Donnie Darko

Good will hunting

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.

Clockwork orange (crying for the lack of chapter 21, but stillgood)
EXACTLY. Clockwork Orange would have been 10x better, but it was seriously lacking a moral ending. That annoyed me to no end, because the book was sooo much better.

Ah, c'mon that's such a crap excuse to say a movie was bad because it didn't exactly stick to the book. Give a man credit because they film their own interpertation instead of giving an exact copy of the book.

There were other problems, that was just the biggest.

What are the other problems then?

1. Overdone Korova and CD store [overly tacky, is what I mean]

2. It seemed to take a comedic look at it (dark of course, but it was like it was trying to be funny [the book had darkly funny parts, but had an eventual moral bearing to hold it together]. In other words, the movie tried to be funny. It wasn't. And it sacrificed a lot because of it.

3. Acting partially excellent, but at the same time grinds against your nerves (or rather, my nerves).

4. A complete lack of another important part - the New York (something-or-other) Pub, which was really how they screwed him over (they didn't just run away from that old lady's house, they had a plan).

5. It lacked the 3 act feel of the book. This goes along with the lack of the last chapter. There was a total lack of moral growth, and he never actually became a man. He was still just a brat kid at the end, and all the character development is completely thrown out the window.

The korova part is more of a taste thing so I can't really say much about that. The movie didn't take a fun comedic look at the story at all. It's a statement about violence that's still appliable on todays society, I don't see how one could consider that funny if they looked trough the first layer of the movie. I didn't really see what was wrong with the acting, maybe you could be more specific on that part. The complete lack of story is yet again a book to movie comparance. It's obvious that this movie is about Alex and not the others, hence he ignored that 'detail'. There movie is still a three act, it's pretty obvious. Also the character of Alex does grow, that he makes jokes at the end of the hospital does not mean he hasn't changed. He went from one point of the line to another, and after that he found a way between them.
